In addition to three fantasies for alto saxophone and piano, Savari wrote a series of ensembles which go from duo to octet. His works were published by Sax between 1861 and 1862. He died in 1870. This work is in four main sections, a slow introduction with a final cadenza, an original Waltz theme with a variation, an Andante section based on the Waltz theme and a bolero which, after short reprise of the waltz theme, ends with a brilliant coda.
