Play at a bright and brisk tempo and a steady dance beat.  The arrangement is at the intermediate level.  Great for family, friends and recitals. It would also make for a great party song. If both performers project the musical features of an ecossaise, a good performance will result.

Eleanor Rigby is an example of a song that demonstrates The Beatles evolution of moving from standard rock and roll to more experimental and alternative sounds.  A song on the topics of depressing loneliness was not a common topic coming from rock bands in the 1960's.  However, being a teenager in the 60's, the minor melody caught my attention and became one of my favorite Beatles songs.All that said, this arrangement features staccato chords and a melody that alternates between staccato and legato phrases.  I wrote it at an intermediate level so it would be playable by teen piano students.  I think teen students that are beginning to expand emotionally will be attracted to Eleanor Rigby.  I see this arrangement being popular for family gatherings, and recitals and well as self-satisfaction.  Also, adult students and amateurs would be attracted to this arrangement.

I arranged this popular Christmas song for elementary piano students.  A Holly Jolly Christmas features two part writing and some homophonic (melody with chords) writing.  This therefore makes it an excellent arrangement for piano teachers still wanting to give students something that keeps their skills advancing through the Christmas season.  The arrangement is happy and bright.I think you will find this arrangement great supplemental material and well as pedagogically useful.  Great for family gatherings, recitals, Christmas parties and personal enjoyment.

This piece also features a lot of double notes that are important for young students to master as they advance in their technical facility.
