This arrangement of Silent Night for String Orchestra stands out as one of the most hauntingly beautiful, with its ethereal sound that culminates in a glorious conclusion. It has very unusual voicing; the music is not based on any chord progression, but rather on independent, interweaving melodic themes. The violas have the melody for a while. And, a couple of times the second violin part is above the soprano part. It is a very contemplative presentation of the carol.This piece is loosely classified as an Advanced Intermediate skill level. The notes aren’t difficult, and it’s relatively slow, but the intervals may be a bit tricky to play in tune.

The Cantummit Waltz is called that because I found it hard to hum a few bars when asked to do so by some people who were helping me name it. So they suggested that I call it the I Can't Hum It Waltz. Even though it's labeled as Easy Intermediate, it does approach the edge of standard ranges for altos and basses.

Morning Star Serenade expresses  a variety of emotions, displayed as an assortment of variations on a theme. It could be called a tone poem with lots of motion, including an assortment of chord progession settings that make the themes into a kaleidescope of musical colors. There are also some fugal treatments of the theme, including an inverted motif. It's an advanced intermediate piece owing to the number of accidentals, dynamic changes and the counterpoint type movement in the instrument sections. It sports a number of places with textures, and layering, in the form of a round, as well as three time signatures, with relatively easy transitions. An all-round delightful arrangement that should be within the playing reach of many String Orchestras.
