Sinatra's use of All of Me brought a non-jazz audience to the song, as did Willie Nelson, whose version was included on his Stardust album and reached No. 3 on the Hot Country Songs chart in 1978. In 2000, All of Me of Me received the Towering Song Award from the Songwriters Hall of Fame.

White retired from the Mormon Tabernacle Choir in 2017 after nearly ten years of membeship; he has also sang with the Utah Symphony Chorus, Utah Opera Chorus, and Cor CF1 in Wales. Irving Berlin wrote â??White Christmasâ?� in the early 1940s, reminiscing about an old-fashioned Christmas setting. Bing Crosby made this song famous, and his single has been credited with selling 50 million copies, the most by any release. Even the Guinness Book of World Records lists Crosbyâ??s song as a 100-million seller, encompassing all versions of the song, including albums. The song was even made into a movie, under the same name, starring Bing Crosby together with Danny Kaye, Rosemary Clooney and Vera-Ellen.

Accounts vary as to when and where Berlin wrote the song. One story is that he wrote it on the poolside at the Biltmore hotel in Phoenix, Arizona. He often stayed up all night writing â?? he told his secretary, â??Grab your pen and take down this song. I just wrote the best song Iâ??ve ever written â?? heck, I just wrote the best song that anybodyâ??s ever written!â?�

Whatever the origins may be, â??White Christmasâ?� is a long-time cherished Christmas favorite.

The song that would become White Christmas was conceived by Irving Berlin on the set of the film 'Top Hat' in 1935. He hummed the melody to Fred Astaire and the film's director Mark Sandrich as a song possibility for a future Astaire-Ginger Rogers vehicle. Astaire loved the tune, but Sandrich passed on it. Although White Christmas has become iconic, this was not the original intention. The song Be Careful, It's My Heart, played during the Valentine's Day section of the film 'Holiday Inn', was originally intended to be a bigger hit when production commenced. The success of the song eventually led to another film based on it, 'White Christmas' (1954), which starred Bing Crosby, Danny Kaye, Rosemary Clooney, and Vera-Ellen. It was an extremely loose remake of 'Holiday Inn', with a similar plot. This arrangement for saxophone choir features all the warm melody and rich harmonies of the original, with nods to another carol along the way.
