After a brief introduction the theme is presented in a straight forward ensemble harmonization with some altered pitches. The next section places the melody in the viola line with opposing lines in the violins. The ensuing section now gives the tune to the second violin with contrapuntal action in the other voices. A chorus section is now more articulated and active until the tune is handed to the first violin with ever more moving counterpoint in the other voices. The piece then ends in a strong statement.Key of G, D.

As one might expect the piece is cheerful from beginning to end. After a bright intro, the trumpet carry the tune until handed over to the middle voices with flourishes in the trumpets. After a transition that leads upward to an exciting climax. The piece abruptly shits to a quiet and expressive section lead by the trombone on the theme where it all builds to another zenith and once again abruptly goes quiet. A modulation and meter shift and the piece becomes countrapuntally gentle.. A meter shift back to the beginning and an exuberant building to a joyous conclusion.

A final modulation takes the piece upward and the style is more bold where it comes to a brief Coda- where it relaxes into a quite confidence.

The piece progresses to be more block in harmonic and rhythmical structure only to be turned over to imitation in the melodic material. The coda section is much like the introduction material and builds in dynamic force, only to be concluded with a pizzicato final note.
