With a brief modulation the piece goes into a more solemn style reminiscent of the opening section. The third section is in a march style leading into the final section which establishes a sense of conclusion.

This violin solo begins with a simply stated introduction in the piano with the solo line presented verbatim, the original tune. The middle section melody is in the piano with the soloist giving a lilting countermelody making for a pleasing interaction of the two parts. The third section reverts back to the structure of the opening concluding with richer harmonies and settling with a solid statement in the solo while support with a motivic statement in the piano.

Written in typical passacaglia (theme in the bass line) and Fugue fashion, the theme is presented in the piano. The first variation is a gently modified tune in duple with the accompaniment in triplets. In variation two, the tune is rhythmically altered while the upper accompaniment is presented in a spritely fashion. Variation three, the tune is in a triplet moving nature while the theme is in block harmonization in the accompaniment. Variation four is expressive in an almost cadenza fashion. Finally, the Fugue is in a lively four voice manner, ending with a strong proclamation of the title, itself.

After a motivic transition the piece continues with a tuba solo A Shelter In The Time Of Storm. with more open scoring passing the tune around amongst the parts. Another modulation, another tune- this time The Solid Rock in a slower tempo giving resolve and purpose. The Coda is in a fanfare stance gaining more power leading up to the final chord.

Four Plus Brass Series- for two Trumpets and two Trombones (with opt. Horn and Tuba for color). With excited anticipation the piece breaks forth with imitative motives until it settles down to the first statement of the theme. It continues in a rather straight forward manner with constant interplay of the parts. It gains strength and progresses through various harmonic stages until it relaxes to a softer, slower statement of the theme in the trombones. The final section is reminiscent of the earlier theme until in relaxes into a final statement.

Four Plus Brass Series- for two Trumpets and two Trombones (with opt. Horn and Tuba for color). Without any introduction the piece begins in four-part harmony and in a deeply reflective expression. As is the original, there are many meter changes. The second section is carried exclusively in the trombones until it is taken over by muted trumpets until consummated with harmonic divergence. The final section is established by the trumpets with subtle underpinning by the trombones. With one final strong presentation of the tune the piece concludes in repose- as one might expect.
