I have employed the Welsh folk lullaby Suo Gan and arranged it for high-voice duet (either soprano and mezzo-soprano or tenor and baritone). The main vocal challenge is showing restraint and singing softly in the upper range, but singers and their audiences will be rewarded for the effort. .

It has been recorded by artists as diverse as Queen Latifah and Bobby McFerrin. The song has been re-arranged from my previous high voice version, with a range from A4 to E5 (if sung by an alto) or A3 to E4 (if sung by a bass/baritone).

There are several beautiful choral arrangements available, but I was unable to find any setting for solo voice and piano. This arrangement, available in three ranges, gives vocal soloists the opportunity to sing it as well.
