Trombone Quintet Trombone - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1257388 Composed by Johann Sebastian Bach. Arranged by Regis Bookshar. Baroque,Chamber,Christian,Easter,Historic. 29 pages. Regis Bookshar #850722. Published by Regis Bookshar (A0.1257388). Three selections based on Christ lag in Todesbanden (Christ lay in death's bonds) (from Cantata No.   4, BMV   4) - Johann Sebastian Bach - Trombone Quintet - Digital Download.Cantata No.   4, BMV   4, Christ lag in Todesbanden (also spelled (Todes Banden) (Christ lay in death's bonds) is a cantata for Easter written by Johann Sebastian Bach and is his earliest surviving Church Cantata. It was probably written in 1707 when he was 22 years old. It is a Chorale Cantata, a style in which both the text and music are based on a hymn. In this instance, the source was Martin Luther's hymn of the same name which became a main Easter hymn in German Lutheranism. Regis Bookshar has transcribed and arranged three selections based on this hymn tune, two from Bach's Cantata No.   4, BMV   4, and also his Chorale Prelude, BMV 625. They may be played individually or as a trilogy and each movement gets more complex than the previous one. The first selection in this trilogy is the Chorale, Christ lag in Todesbanden, the final chorus from his Cantata No.   4, a straightforward four-part chorale setting of the hymn (Regis has also added a fifth part). This is followed by Bach's Chorale Prelude, BMV 625, a piece form his Orgelbuchlein (Little Organ Book), a collection of 46 Preludes for organ, written almost exclusively during the 1708-1717 period, while Bach was court organist at Weimar. For the final selection, Regis has placed the polyphonic and imitative chorus, Es war ein wunderlicher Krieg, da Tod und Leben Rungen (It was a strange battle, that death and life waged), which Bach had placed in the middle of his Cantata No.   4.This arrangement is for a Trombone Quintet. Included are a score and a complete set of parts (29 pages).I hope you will enjoy playing these selections and please search for other arrangements by Regis Bookshar. There are numerous selections in a variety of styles, also available for purchase. I think you will be pleased with what you may find.

Acoustic Guitar,Instrumental Solo - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1152788 Composed by Traditional/Anonymous. Arranged by Socrates Arvanitakis. Classical,Early Music,Folk,Traditional. Individual part. 44 pages. Socrates Arvanitakis #753026. Published by Socrates Arvanitakis (A0.1152788). This is the ninth volume of an extensive collection of folk songs arranged for the classical guitar mostly in two-part counterpoint. The arrangements are of moderate difficulty and the aims of this publication are to familiarise, entertain and educate guitarists (and other musicians) with a melodic repertoire of lasting aesthetic value, under the light of contrapuntal treatment. The thirty five volumes of this collection can certainly be printed on paper if so desired and there are a few pages in each volume, either blank or with photographs of various musicians, which can be inserted at will in any place for the correct ordering of left and right hand pages so that page turns can be avoided. The principle of avoiding page turns has been maintained in all volumes, but this edition is also designed with mobile electronic devices in mind such as tablets etc, using the environment and facilities of a score reading application, towards a paperless world, at least in music. Therefore the size of the staves is bigger than usual for ease of reading on a small screen but not big enough to exceed the limit of a two-page view. Active internal links for navigating from thematic indexes to particular songs and back to indexes have been added, and also external internet links to sites that give further information for the 945 songs of this first collection for classical guitar.Volume 9 (Songs 217-243)Crystal Spring (The)Cuckoo (the)Cumha MhicCupid’s GardenCutting Down the PinesDabbling in the DewDance to your DaddyDarby KellyDashing Away With the Smoothing IronDashing White Sergeant (the) continue hereDavy LowstonDean CadalanDeath and the LadyDeath of Admiral Benbow (the)Death of Queen Jane (the)Derby Ram (the)DerwentwaterDerwentwater’s FarewellDeserter (the) version ADeserter (the) version BDevil and the Farmer’s Wife (the)Dewy Dells of Yarrow (the)DiademDialogue between Jacob and Esau (A)Dicky of Tauton DeneDidn’t My Lord Deliver DanielDigger’s Song (the).

David Warin Solomons #1048222. Published by David Warin Solomons (A0.1470559). An arrangement for piccolo and orchestra of the Barbara Allen folk song with many interesting cadences, harmonies and countermelodies. In Scarlet Town where I was born,There was a fair maid dwelling,Made every youth cry, “Well-a-day”,Her name was Barbara Allen. All in the merry month of May,When green buds they were swelling,Young Willy Grove on his death bed lay,For love of Barbara Allen. He sent his man down unto her then,To the town where she was dwelling.“You must come to my master dear,If your name's Barbara Allen.”So slowly, slowly she came up,And slowly she came nigh him,And all she said when there she came,“Young man I think you’re dying.”[“A dying man, no, no,” said he,“One kiss from thee would cure me.”“One kiss from me thou never shalt have,If your poor heart was breaking.”]He turned his face unto the wall,And death was drawing nigh him,“Adieu, adieu, my dear friends all,And be kind to Barbara Allen.”As she was walking o’er the fields,She heard the dead-bell knellin’;And every stroke did seem to say“Unworthy Barbara Allen!”When he was laid dead in his grave,Her heart was struck with sorrow,“Oh mother, mother make my bed,For I shall die tomorrow.”And on her death bed she lay,She begged to be buried by him,And so repented of the day,That she did e’er deny him.“Farewell”, she said, “You virgins all,And shun the fault I fell in.Hence forth take warning by the fall,Of cruel Barbara Allen.”.

Piano Solo - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.941687 Composed by Elizabeth Borowsky. Contemporary,Standards. Score. 6 pages. Piano Prodigies #6323677. Published by Piano Prodigies (A0.941687). While learning Tumult in the Clouds, the dedicatee of this work found parallels to the poem, An Irish Airman Foresees His Death, by W.B. Yeats. In it, a pilot acknowledges that his participation in World War I will likely lead to his own death, yet the exhilaration of flying high above the Earth surpasses all fear. The steady left-hand ostinato reflects the pilot's willingness to unwaveringly face death, while the tumultuous chords of the right hand reflect the chaos and confusion that surrounds him. Like the pilot, you will tackle dangerous maneuvers while adrenaline courses through your veins.

Love Is Here to Stay was the last musical composition George Gershwin completed before his death on July 11, 1937. Ira Gershwin wrote the lyrics after George's death as a tribute to his brother. Although George had not written a verse for the song, he did have an idea for it that both Ira and pianist Oscar Levant had heard before his death. When a verse was needed, Ira and Levant recalled what George had in mind.

Paradise: In A Dream is a song cycle featuring four pieces, each with their own unique character, set to poems by Christina Rossetti. These four pieces are a commentary on life, death, and the curiosity we feel about what may come after death. The first two movements, Let Me Go and Echo are solemn and plaintive reflections about how one may react to the death of a loved one. The third movement, Paradise: In A Dream, evokes euphoria and glory, foreseeing a blissful and eternal afterlife, followed by the peaceful acceptance of mortality in Fluttered Wings, the final movement of the cycle.Save US$1 per score, or US$3 per full set of Paradise: In A Dream when ordering directly from: https://emily-green-choral-music.webnode.com/

Kevin G. Pace #865651. Published by Kevin G. Pace (A0.1273512). A stunningly beautiful choral composition with music by Kevin G. Pace and text by Mary Ann W. Snowball.  The subject of this piece is the joy felt at Christ's resurrection following the darkness of his crucifixion.Text:Though Jesus raised the dead in his mortal life,He would die a shameful death caused by angered strife. On that fateful day when clouds covered sun,Jesus’ enemies rejoiced, thinking they had won. This Friday, dark like stain, never came again.Jesus Christ was in the tomb, killed by spiteful men.Soon a miracle honored all mankind:Jesus burst the bonds of death, bringing life past time.Christ’s resurrection claims all will live once more. His gift renders unity for each soul restored. This is Christ’s pure love giv’n on Sunday morn. Now, throughout eternity, new life will be born.Hereafter we will praise Jesus Christ, our Lord,Thanking Him for giving us life forevermore. With those gone in death, we will reunite.Sunday’s joy will come to all filled with heaven’s light. We will be with those we love all because of One.Sunday’s joy will ever come; Sunday’s joy will come!
