Woodwind Ensemble - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.881199 Composed by Traditional English, French carol melody. Arranged by Denise M. Owen. Christian,Christmas,Classical. 2 pages. Denise M. Owen #3373943. Published by Denise M. Owen (A0.881199). A simple arrangement in g minor for two flutes or two alto recorders, combining God Rest Ye Merry, Gentlemen, and Let All Mortal Flesh Keep Silence. The arrangement is intentionally open-sounding and modal, and includes polyphony and interesting dissonance. This piece is most appropriate for use during Advent or Christmas. Range is one octave, from G above middle C to the G above the staff. This should be accessible to early intermediate players but it was written for church use for adults.

Handbell - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.881201 Composed by J. L.Pierpont. Arranged by Denise M. Owen. Children,Christmas,Instructional. Score. 2 pages. Denise M. Owen #3662987. Published by Denise M. Owen (A0.881201). This is a simple arrangement of the traditionally Christmas song Jingle Bells, only the chorus part (Jingle bells, jingle bells, jingle all the way...)It is in the key of G and uses two octaves of handbells, hand chimes or bellplates, with 16 bells total used. This arrangement attempts to use each bell as much as possible to keep students playing. I arranged this for my fifth grade beginning handbell group.Real Jingle Bells may of course be added for fun or if you have more students than handbells! This is good for a secular winter or Christmas concert or presentation.Purchase of one copy gives you the right to make enough copies for your ensemble and to perform this piece.

Choral Choir (Mixed) - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.881192 Composed by Denise M. Owen. Baroque,Christian,Easter,Sacred. Octavo. 3 pages. Denise M. Owen #13451. Published by Denise M. Owen (A0.881192). A solo setting of the Good Friday Psalm 22, the words Jesus spoke from the Cross: My God, my God, why hast Thou forsaken me? This Psalm setting would be perfect for Good Friday services or for use during Lent or other penitential seasons. It can be sung by a treble soloist, unison choir, soprano or tenor soloist. The accompaniment can be played on piano or organ (organ preferred) and is written in Baroque-style four parts which are distinct from the solo part. The melody uses the descending-second sighing technique to indicate the strong emotions of questioning and pleading with God. This would be a very effective solo or unison choir piece for Tenebrae or Good Friday.
