Flute,Guitar,Instrumental Duet - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1345929 By The Smiths. By Johnny Marr and Steven Morrissey. Arranged by Derek Hasted. Pop. 12 pages. Derek Hasted #930830. Published by Derek Hasted (A0.1345929). PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE (The Smiths) - accessible piece for FLUTE and GUITARIntended for classical or acoustic guitar, though sometimes it gets listed erroneously under electric guitar. The guitar part is supplied in “Notation only” and “Notation + TAB”Derek Hasted writes This song burst back into my consciousness when it was played as a Viennese Waltz in the BBC TV program “Strictly Come Dancing”.The ponderous, downbeat, original became light, inspiring, uplifting and very beautiful. Here’s the version that was on TV - the same key as the original but slightly shorter. The flute takes the tune, the guitar (with the bottom string tuned to D) takes the accompaniment. It’s ideal for an inexperienced duo - the tune, believe it or not, only uses 5 different notes! The use of 6=D tuning for the guitar dramatically reduces the number of barré chords and makes the guitar part much easier on the left hand.I hope you enjoy playing this piece! This is one of a large and growing range of accessible ensembles from experienced arranger Derek Hasted, and is supplied as full score and parts. Derek's website at www.derek-hasted.co.uk/smp lists all his arrangements by title and by number of instruments, with links to soundclips and sample score.

Guitar,Instrumental Duet - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1345389 By The Smiths. By Johnny Marr and Steven Morrissey. Arranged by Derek Hasted. Pop. 14 pages. Derek Hasted #930328. Published by Derek Hasted (A0.1345389). PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE (The Smiths) - accessible piece for 2 GUITARSIntended for classical guitar, though sometimes it gets listed erroneously under electric guitar. Both parts are supplied in “Notation only” and “Notation + TAB”Derek Hasted writes This song burst back into my consciousness when it was played as a Viennese Waltz in the BBC TV program “Strictly Come Dancing”.The ponderous, downbeat, original became light, inspiring, uplifting and very beautiful. Here’s the version that was on TV - the same key as the original but slightly shorter. One guitar takes the tune, the other (with the bottom string tuned to D) takes the accompaniment - there is really no seamless way to swap roles partway through, so as well as a concert piece it’s an excellent Student/Teacher duet to teach some rhythms that are unexpected.I hope you enjoy playing this piece! This is one of a large and growing range of accessible ensembles from experienced arranger Derek Hasted, and is supplied as full score and parts. Guitar Ensemble - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1450426 Composed by Andy Burrows and Thomas Smith. Arranged by Derek Hasted. Christmas,Pop. Score and Parts. 17 pages. Derek Hasted #1030156. Published by Derek Hasted (A0.1450426). WHEN THE THAMES FROZE - Smith & Burrows - 3 GUITARS or LARGE ENSEMBLEFor Classical or Acoustic GuitarDerek Hasted writes This is an utterly charming piece, and if you’ve yet to enjoy the Official Smith & Burrows video, head over to YouTube! My arrangement captures the elegant simplicity of the original, and although there’s no brass band or children’s choir for the last verse, this works fantastically as a Christmas concert piece.Guitars 2 and 3 are all first position using well-known notes and chords, and the bass-line would suit a beginner with just a little experience. Guitar 3 is also in bass clef if you have a deeper instrument. In a large ensemble either or both Guitar 3 parts can be played.Guitar 1 works nicely in 5th position for much of the piece, though any systematic fingering will be just fine.I hope you enjoy playing this very special piece! This is one of a large and growing range of accessible ensembles from experienced arranger Derek Hasted, and is supplied as full score and parts. Derek's website at www.derek-hasted.co.uk/smp lists all his arrangements by title and by number of instruments, with links to soundclips and sample score.

Instrumental Duet Guitar,Instrumental Duet - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.797743 By Adele. By Adele Adkins and Fraser Smith. Arranged by Derek Hasted. Pop. Score and parts. 16 pages. Derek Hasted #4408592. Published by Derek Hasted (A0.797743). SET FIRE TO THE RAIN (Adele) - GUITAR DUETFor Classical or Acoustic Guitar - sometimes it's erroneously listed here as Electric Guitar.Derek Hasted writes This arrangement of Adele’s classic hit has some awkward rhythms in the top part, but you can bend the rhythm slightly against the metronomic bottom part. Much of Adele's improvisation at the end of the track is captured here, unlike some other published editions.Guitar One goes up to top G, but there’s no fingering as you may want to choose when to change position. Guitar Two, by contrast, is more straightforward though the first beat is often written to come early - at the back of the previous bar or measure.Whilst it would have been nice to swap the parts over at the phrase boundaries, the change of pitch and the way the melody overlaps the bar-lines mean that a changeover would spoil the flow and balance. The metronome mark is close to the speed of the original, but the lush tone of the guitar allows you to go a little slower if it makes for a tighter performance. The parts are laid out with extra sample pages at the front so that you can preview some of each part and some of the full score on screen before purchase. I hope you enjoy playing this piece!

Contemporary,Pop,Rock. 13 pages. Sarah Cellobat Chaffee #6461761. Published by Sarah Cellobat Chaffee (A0.526318). Gone, Gone, Gone was recorded by American Idol winner Phillip Phillips for his debut album in 2013.
