A light jazz samba composed in the early 80s and recorded by Le Montréal-Pop in 1981-82. This new arrangement is for Jazz Dectet (3-2-1-4) and it has been recorded in 2021 by DesTrepagny on the album À Distance. Four soloists are required for this piece: Flute, Flugelhorn, Trombone, Guitar or Piano, plus Drums & Percs solo. Happy, lively but not heavy, Réal Trépanier wrote the music and the arrangement.

A copyrighted original composition by Réal Trépnier arranged for DesTrepagny Jazz Dectet (3-2-1-4) based on a slow sixteen notes funky rhythm. The minor mode of the verse (lydian) suggests a kind of spacy ambiance while the refrain in major mode releases that suspense. Two full choruses (verse & refrain) are dedicated to solos; four different soloists share these 2 choruses. This music would fit perfectly as moovie soundtrack theme.

This original piece, like its title says, is a kind of warm tune fully arranged for Jazz Dectet (3-2-1-4) starting with spun sounds to center the pitch for all the band while the rhythm drives easyly from standard light swing to hal-time feeling and double-time feeling adding some punches and breaks here and there. The second half of the tune covers all harmonized major scales in all  twelve keys inserting breaks and punches and short solos too. First in the set list, this piece is a must, it has been created as a starting warm up for the whole band, for each and every rehearsal.
