Voice - Interactive Download SKU: A0.482541 Composed by J. Randolph Hall. This edition: Interactive Download. Classical. Score. 5 pages. Duration 38. Published by J. Randolph Hall (A0.482541). The band director of the Williamson County Community Band will start out on a warm up where he divides the band into three section to do a scale round. This involves Ascending and descending which creates an interesting harmony as well as warming of the chops. This however, is in a Pure Minor key. Imagine the scale is stretched out on a 180° where 90° is the zenith. Once a voice (Vox) has reached that zenith and descends, notice the two angles which are supplementary angles (whose sum equals 180°). The degrees listed above the notes are based on the concept found in https://www.noteflight.com/marketplace/1avadoxR8tmLGLdIp5O4rA/musical-angles The red indicates a major chord. Blue indicates minor. Magenta indicates harmony/consonance while khaki green indicates dissonance. The vertical sum of the degrees in relation to the harmony produced in each measure also has interesting results.

Handbells handbell choir (3 octaves) - Level 1 - Digital Download SKU: H1.2299DP Arranged by Martha Lynn Thompson. Hymntune, General Worship. Collection. 28 pages. Hope Publishing - Digital #2299DP. Published by Hope Publishing - Digital (H1.2299DP). Eight praise hymns This collection includes very accessible settings of eight well-known hymn tunes. Each three-octave setting uses only 22-26 bells. Special ringing techniques are limited, making the pieces suitable for beginning handbell or handchime choirs. The arrangements have no modulations, and the beat is subdivided only for essential melody notes. There are a minimum of chromatics and, when they occur, ample time is given for bell changes. The full-chord writing provides security for beginners, while these extended arrangements provide new challenges to ringers as they learn to make music for worship or concert.

Instrumental Duet Guitar,Instrumental Duet - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.540177 Composed by Johann Sebastian Bach. Arranged by Pedro Nunes. Baroque. Score and parts. 7 pages. Pedro Nunes #150317. Published by Pedro Nunes (A0.540177). The earliest known surviving manuscript of Alessandro Marcello’s Oboe concerto in D minor exists not as a score from the composer’s own hand, but as an arrangement for solo keyboard by contemporary J.S. Bach. This arrangement, dating from 1713-1714, is part of a collection of works entitled 16 Konzerte nach verschiedenen Meistern, BWV 972–987 (16 concerts according to different masters). It is Bach’s arrangement on which this duo version for guitar is heavily based. Bach discovered this concerto and other works by Italian masters while under the employment of Duke Wilhelm Ernst in Weimar.. The musical library of the ducal court was rich with orchestral works by Vivaldi, Corelli, Torelli, Frescobaldi and of course Marcello (both Benedetto and Alessandro). Bach saw this as an opportunity to learn about the Italian style, and proceeded to arrange sixteen of these concerti for solo harpsichord. Texturally, Bach would mimic the alternating tutti and solo sections by assigning them to different manuals of the harpsichord. Twenty years later, Bach would compose his own “Italian Concerto†BWV 971, for solo keyboard, which remains as one of his most recognizable works. The Marcello concerto is in typical 3 movement form: Andante e spiccato, Adagio, and Presto. For this arrangement, single-string fingerings of melodic passages were favoured for the first movement, for the sake of articulation and uniformity of the line. Also, the melodic material is passed between both guitars to achieve a more concertante setting and to enhance passages with repeated material. The second movement maintains a soloist/accompanist setting throughout. Although it was tempting to use both guitars to fill out the harmony of the opening and closing sections, the performance proved to be more effective with one guitarist able to solely concentrate on the famous melody. The final movement, like the first, divides the melodic material between both guitars in order to give both players interesting material and to give the first guitar a bit of breathing room.

Concert band - Beginning - Digital Download SKU: IZ.CBS1615-S Composed by Daniel Jones. Score. 11 pages. Imagine Music - Digital #CBS1615-S. Published by Imagine Music - Digital (IZ.CBS1615-S). 9 x 12 in inches.Reflections on a German Folk Song is based on the traditional round Himmel und Erde, which directly translated meansHeaven and Earth, however the common English title is Music Alone Shall Live. While teaching music for SaydelCommunity School District in Des Moines, Iowa, I taught the round to elementary students and concluded that the folk tunewould lend itself well to young instrumentalists. Consequently, I set out to arrange the round for emerging band. After an introduction based on motives and rhythms of the round, the tune is initially played by an alto saxophone solo (oroboe). After a transition from the key of F Major to E-Flat Major, the band divides into three groups to play the three-voiceround. The entire round is repeated twice, exhibiting a lengthy crescendo and eventual diminuendo caused by the threeinstrument groupings ending their voices in the round.Having students perform a simple, yet lyrical round provides for a variety of educational opportunities. Similar to youngvocal ensembles, performing a round helps students to securely play with a group that is doing something different thanother sections of the ensemble, which ultimately assists in the transition to playing within a smaller, individual section orindependent part. Reflections on a German Folksong contains simplistic rhythms, which allows students to primarily focuson phrasing, articulation, tone quality and dynamics.

Choral Choir (SATB) - Digital Download SKU: A0.965554 Composed by Ron Anderson. A Cappella,Christian,Contemporary,Sacred. Octavo. 5 pages. Ron James Anderson #5994763. Published by Ron James Anderson (A0.965554). Evening Prayer is somewhat in the style of a chorale prelude, with its flowing accompaniment and simple melody. The form divides neatly into two distinct sections-the first in F major, and the second in Bb major. The F major section represents our earthly life. Even though God’s peace is present throughout (the flowing accompaniment), the words speak of the strife and hardship of our time on Earth. While we are here on Earth, we tend to believe that this life is all there is (that F major will continue to the end). But at the point in the music where the text says and our work is done, ending on a D major chord, we find ourselves in a strange place between life and the afterlife; the moment of death itself. After this comes an a cappella section in Bb major, which represents our life in Heaven. The F major life merely served as a dominant preparation for the Bb major afterlife! (Actually, I think we should call eternity life, and our earthly life pre-life). The piece ends with the same flowing passages found in the beginning of the piece, this time in Bb major.
