Percussion Ensemble - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.962405 Composed by Salvador Rojo Gamón. Concert,Contemporary,Instructional,Standards. Score and parts. 255 pages. Salvador Rojo-Gamon #5801921. Published by Salvador Rojo-Gamon (A0.962405). Four ForcesReviewsScherzohttps://scherzo.es/badajoz-vanguardias-lugarenas/Periodico Extremadurahttps://www.elperiodicoextremadura.com/noticias/badajoz/fuerzas_1214372.html NotesThis work was commissioned by Extremadura Orchestra for Percussion and Chamber orchestra. It has two movements. The first one has been done for mallets and the second one was built on a base of a drums work (GEA).The duration of those movements is 26 minutes, being around 11 minutes the first and 15 minutes the second one.The chamber music is formed by:Woodwind quintet (Flute, Oboe, Clarinet, Horn & Bassoon)Brasswind quintet (Trumpet 1, Trumpet 2, Horn, Trombone & Tuba)Strings orchestraThree firsts violinsThree seconds violinsThree violasTwo cellosFor the second movement is high recommendable to enlarge the strings, a good number of musician could be doubling.I. Strong ForcesThe work is inspired by the four fundamental forces of nature. These forces explain any phenomena which can be produced in the universe.Throughout all composition, it is latent the mathematic construction based in the series Fibonacci. In the first of the movements, Fibonacci's series is present in the notes' sequence that forms the series of 16 sounds and it is going to be present throughout the whole work. This series is taking form along the movement and it is getting melody and harmony.Although it is far away from the sonata form, as we know it in its period of highest glory, it takes elements of it and updates to our days. In this movement, we can find sonata form elements as the exposition, development, transitions or coda. The central part of the first movement becomes in the slow movement, being more intimate and lyrical, free of the serials ties although it uses resources before cited -now called common practice-.The movement finish with a short re-exposition that concludes with the virtuosic of the soloist doubling the series and adding more tension until conforming the series in its full whole.II. Weak ForcesIt is the most tribal of both movements. Its structure is more complex and in it, we also can find clear reminiscences to the sonata form.We can divide the movement into two big blocks. The first one is formed for the introduction and sections one and two.IntroducciónIt is based in one ostinato of three notes where the accent is changing provoking unsymmetric, this ostinato represents the nucleus of our existence. The piccolo and the trombone introduce us to the human element representing the two elements that form the development of the whole movement. The two elements of thematics are taken from the series, the first one is easily recognizable because it appears in his primary form.First section & cadenzaIn this movement, the rhythm, the melody, and the harmony are based on the sequence of Fibonacci. As the theme ostinato of the soloist as the melody is formed under the rhythm of 1, 2, 3 and 5. This section leads us to the second section with a clear mode of cadence. In the cadenza, the elements of the rhythm are varied freely with an accompaniment of the Spring Drum.DevelopmentIt is formed by two Rondo sub-sections in which the solo part has been created through the mirror technique. Both sections have the next form:Intro-A-B-A-B-(B(minor)+A)Intro-A-B-A-B-(B(major)+A)First section & CodaThe movement ends with the repetition of the first section and the final code.

Guitar,Piano,Vocal,Voice - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.975467 By John Lennon And The Plastic Ono Band. By John Lennon. Arranged by Thomas J. Dawson, Jr. Film/TV. Score. 7 pages. John P. Redmon Music (ASCAP)/adm. by Reaching Records #6247669. Published by John P. Redmon Music (ASCAP)/adm. by Reaching Records (A0.975467). The 5:01 closer, John Lennon’s Imagine will bring a warm tear to your eye and remind you of the strong emotions Louis Armstrong was able to stir in all our hearts… this performance should (definitely) be nominated for (and WIN) awards… if I were on the judging panel, it certainly would get top honors. (Dick Metcalf, Contemporary Fusion Reviews)Rising billboard recording artist John Redmon and legendary producer/arranger Thomas Dawson, Jr. lyrically and musically provoke a series of emotions and thought of a world free from barriers...a euphoric universe aligned in perfect harmony and sweet unity. Redmon states: I long for the day when differences don’t divide us.This piano/vocal arrangement by Dawson takes this basic Lennon chord structure and transforms it into an orchestral masterpiece. This version of Imagine would be fitting as a global anthem, a cosmic salute, concerts, festivals, graduation ceremonies and liberty festivals. Imagine appears on the album Honoring Louis Armstrong featuring Louis Armstrong Impressionist John Redmon and accompanied by The Thomas J. Dawson, Jr. iOrchestra. The recorded version is just a little over 5 minutes.John Redmon and Thomas Dawson, Jr. are both ASCAP affiliates. You can follow John Redmon on the following social media sites:Facebook:  https://m.facebook.com/johnredmonmusic/Instagram:  https://www.instagram.com/johnredmonmusic/Twitter:  https://twitter.com/johnredmonmusicFor more album information, visit: https://www.honoringlouisarmstrong.com/Record Label: https://www.reachingrecords.com/

Choral Choir (SATB) - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1012872 Composed by Dean H. Hamill. A Cappella,Christian,Gospel,Praise & Worship,Sacred. Octavo. 5 pages. D H Hamill #6009653. Published by D H Hamill (A0.1012872). The beautifully melodic and spiritually uplifting work for S.A.T.B. with piano accompaniment is excellent for most Christian worship services. There are short passages where parts divide, so a minimum of eight singers is necessary. The text invites the listeners recognize many of the attributes of Christ - He lifts, loves, heals, invites us home to Him -- and to become like Him. The harmonies are rich and inviting. The piano accompaniment is very accessible and the choral parts are of a medium difficulty including both unison passages and a four-part a cappella section. Duration is 4 minutes 20 seconds. When your ensemble performs it please contact me and let me know how it was received. I can be reached by email at dean.hamill@hushmail.com.

Choral Choir (SATB) - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.869218 Composed by Thomas Oboe Lee. 20th Century,Baroque,Classical,Romantic Period,Sacred. Octavo. 69 pages. Thomas Oboe Lee #31009. Published by Thomas Oboe Lee (A0.869218). Program note. The greatest challenge of the Stabat Mater text is to figure out how to set twenty stanzas of pain and suffering without making it all sound too depressing. So, before I began composing, I looked at a number of scores and recordings of Stabat Mater by various composers: DesPrez, Palestrina, Pergolesi, Boccherini, Vivaldi, Haydn, Dvorak, Rossini, Poulenc, Szymanowski, Penderecki, et al. It was fascinating to see what each composer did with regard to text setting: the variety of musical textures from movement to movement, different approaches to the use of fast or allegro music to offset the mood of the text, solo versus choral sections, etc. Each composer took a very personal and creative approach to the task. It was a fascinating study! After weeks of listening and scrutinizing, I decided to divide the twenty-stanza text into six sections. It is my hope that the end result is formally coherent and emotionally affecting.I. Lento Stabat Mater dolorosa â?¦II. Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1125661 Composed by Igor Korneitchouk. 20th Century,Chamber,Contemporary. 110 pages. Studio at the Post #725494. Published by Studio at the Post (A0.1125661). Score only (see A725501 for Parts). Duration: 22 – 24 minutes, 217 pp. reduced to 108 pp. Description: Each of the SerapeÌs has a programmatic subtitle that gives the listener a hint as to how to listen. SerapeÌs Nos. 1, 4 and 7 (subtitled Three Brothers) divide up the collection symmetrically as all three share variations of the same set of motivic layers. Nonetheless, despite their common genetic heritage, the three brothers all have radically different personalities. SerapeÌ No. 2 is called Burro for its loping cowboy-swing. Its seemingly infinite upward-spiraling progression through succeeding tonal centers reminds one of the mules on the switchbacks of the Grand Canyon. SerapeÌ No. 3, Starry Night, employs one of Korneitchouk's favorite devices of combing complex order out of chaos. Overlapping melodic patterns in 7/8, 8/8, 9/8, 10/8, 11/8, and 13/8 emerge -- three at a time -- out of constellations of apparently random notes. The brutal SerapeÌ No. 5, L.A. Smog, is rude. This SerapeÌ starts as a sonorous block of jackhammer intensity that later reveals itself to be in a very brisk 5/8 meter. In contrast, SerapeÌ No. 6 is the most peaceful and static SerapeÌ. It includes a musical portrait of the composer's refrigerator turning itself on and off in the dead of night. A drone, which suggests the 60-cycle hum of the refrigerator, anchors the subtle shifting and overlapping harmonies of the piece.

Arranged by Geraldine Green. 21st Century,Chamber,Children. 39 pages. Geraldine (Denny) Green at Oakmountmusic #887040. Published by Geraldine (Denny) Green at Oakmountmusic (A0.1296892). ALL PURCHASES COME WITH SCORE AND PARTSMay 2013 – Duration; approx. 10 minutesStandard of solo parts; Approx. Grade 7/8There are 4 arrangements available:No.1 – School Arrangement – 2 Solo violins, Violins 1, 2 and 3 and cellos. The cello part does divide into 2 in places throughout.No.2 – Standard Arrangement – 2 solo violins, Violins 1 and 2, violas, cellos and double bassesNo.3 – Piano reduction – for 2 solo violins and pianoNo. 4 – Arrangement for Flute, violin and piano The piece is light-hearted and tuneful and in simple ternary form. The outer sections are perky, playful and dance-like, and they frame a slow, luscious middle section where the soloists have some high harmonics.I would guess that the orchestral players would need to be at about Grade 4/5 upwards to manage this comfortably.

Easy Piano - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.910397 Composed by Roger Evernden. 20th Century,Contemporary,New Age. Score. 5 pages. Roger Brian Evernden #5314429. Published by Roger Brian Evernden (A0.910397). I wrote For Planet Earth at a time when bush fires were raging out of control in Australia. I was worried for family and friends living there, and I was concerned at the damage we were causing to our home planet. In times of climate change, an increasing divide between the rich and poor, and the squandering of precious resources I wanted to write something to remind us of the beauty and fragility of life on this awesome planet where we are privileged to live. The piece is a simple waltz in 3/4 time. The initial melody is repeated in two variations, then repeated again followed by the 2nd variation. When you play it, please think of our planet and how we must do everything we can to protect and cherish all of the life on it.
