The cantatas were composed on the poetry of Pietro Metastasio, famous Italian librettist and poet, who once took music lessons from Porpora. The realization of the aria for voice and piano, made by Sergei Pichugin, is based on early publication of the composer’s twelve cantatas (London, 1735). The aria may be an invaluable addition to the repertoire of vocal teachers and students. The march was also played during the processions of former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher, The Queen Mother, His Royal Highness Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh and Her Majesty The Queen, Elizabeth II. This arrangement is for the UK-style brass band, with alternative parts for horns in F and bass-clef lower brass, and has been reduced to march-card size. It was premiered on 25 May 1878 in London theatre Opera comique and had one  of the highest performance rates of that time. The story is about love between people of different society classes on board of the British warship H.M.S. Pinafore  and mocks so about the British class system.  The arrangement of the overture is kept in the original key of the composition for symphony orchestra. Is was first time performed by Salzburg Wind  Philharmonic conducted by Hansjoerg Angerer at their Three Kings' Concert on 6 January 2023 in the Grosses Festspielhaus (Large Festival Hall) in  Salzburg, Austria and broadcasted live by Austrian television. She was unique in many ways, but perhaps the most intriguing aspect of her personality was her insistence upon doing things not normally viewed as acceptable ways for a proper Victorian Lady to entertain herself. One of these activities was commissioning works for a seventy-two piece chamber orchestra which she then conducted in a public performance in London. The Lady Radnor Suite is one such work, and Lady Radnor and her chamber orchestra gave the first performance June 29, 1894 at St. James Hall. Parry patterned the work on the early classical orchestral suite of dance movements, and the six movements all demonstrate the influence of antiquity.
