Piano,Vocal,Voice - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1141217 By Bud Powell. By Vernon Duke. Arranged by Dave Gingras and John E. Dosher. Broadway,Jazz,Musical/Show. Score. 3 pages. DAVID LEE GINGRAS #741504. Published by DAVID LEE GINGRAS (A0.1141217). Autumn in New York is a jazz standard and popular song composed by Vernon Duke in Westport, Connecticut in the summer of 1934. It was written without a commission or for a specific show, but Duke offered it to producer Murray Anderson for his Broadway musical Thumbs Up!. The play opened on December 27, 1934 where the song was performed by singer J. Harold Murray. This version features a root-based chord blocking that John and I have used in a number of our arrangements. We also added some left-hand rhythm for interest, we hope you like what we've done with the song!

SATB chorus - Digital Download SKU: BJ.1186 Composed by Emil RÃ¥berg. A concert opener! Secular. Octavo. 17 pages. Bo Ejeby Forlag - Digital #1186. Published by Bo Ejeby Forlag - Digital (BJ.1186). 8.27 x 11.7 inches.A concert opener! Emil Raberg's The Tyger has been a success. Now comes his new piece, Ouverture, for 4-part mixed choir. When Erik Westberg commissioned this piece, he was looking for something to open a concert with. Fairly early on, I decided to evoke an image of fireworks, in order to create a fanfare for choirs and a tribute to singing. Finding suitable lyrics was not an easy task, so I began composing without any lyrics. Once the music was almost done, I asked Amanda Bjorneras to create a homage to singing. It was at this point that the idea of a wordless part was formed, to let the music 'speak for itself'. - Emil Raberg.

Piano Solo - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.922829 Composed by Various. Arranged by Jayne Nitz. Christian,Sacred. Score. 19 pages. Jayne Nitz #6327373. Published by Jayne Nitz (A0.922829). The unique aspect of these short hymn-based offertories is their flexible length. When the offertory goes by quickly, as it does in a smaller church or even an efficient larger church, a pianist needs to be able to end a piece quickly, or extend it if there are a few more in attendance. I’ve included directions for doing this written right into the music. Each arrangement takes the tune in a bit of a new direction and could be used as pre-service music, post-service music, and for filling other awkward variable-length silences in a church service (as when the organist/pianist takes communion).Titles by common hymn name: (listening sample has excerpts of titles with * below)Amazing Grace*Beautiful Savior*Behold the Lamb of God (Lent, Good Friday)Christ Has Arisen, Alleluia (Easter)*Lord, Thee I Love With All My HeartOpen Now They Gates of Beauty*Rock of Ages, Cleft for Me*The Angel Gabriel from Heaven Came/ Oh, Come, Oh, Come, Emmanuel (Advent, Christmas)*The Strife Is O’er, the Battle Done (Easter)Titles by hymn tune: ECCE AGNUSGABRIEL’S MESSAGE/ VENI, EMMANUELHERZLICH LIEB HAB ICH DICH, O HERRMFURAHINI HALELUYANEW BRITAINSCHÖNSTER HERR JESUTOPLADYUNSER HERRSCHERVICTORYIf you like these flexible-length offertories, I have another volume of ten titled Little Offertories for Little Churches published with Northwestern Publishing House at:www.nph.net.

Piano,Vocal,Voice - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1488127 By Natalie Cole. By Lorenz Hart and Richard Rodgers. Arranged by Dave Gingras and John E. Dosher. Broadway,Film/TV,Jazz,Musical/Show. Score. 2 pages. DAVID LEE GINGRAS #1065006. Published by DAVID LEE GINGRAS (A0.1488127). This Can't Be Love is a show tune and a popular song from the 1938 Rodgers and Hart musical The Boys from Syracuse when it was sung by Eddie Albert and Marcy Westcott. The lyrics poke fun at the common depiction of love in popular songs as a host of malignant symptoms, saying, This can't be love because I feel so well. This version was developed from a lead sheet and was simplified so that someone with average ability can play it and sound good doing so. We added root-based chord blocking and a few left-hand fills for rhythm - we hope you like what we've done with this grand old tune!

Choral Choir (SSAA) - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.953625 Composed by Adrienne Inglis (ASCAP). Contemporary,Latin. Octavo. 5 pages. Adrienne Inglis (ASCAP) #6405603. Published by Adrienne Inglis (ASCAP) (A0.953625). La ciudad sumergida (The Submerged City) for four-part treble chorus and nature soundtrack by Adrienne Inglis (ASCAP) Commissioned for Dr. Ramona M. Wis and the North Central College Women’s Chorale A setting of an excerpt of Río de La Plata en lluvia from Mascarilla y Trébol (1938) by Alfonsina Storni (1938) Copyright © 2020 Adrienne Inglis Founder, composer, and singer with Inversion Ensemble of Austin, Texas, Adrienne Inglis also serves as principal flute with the Central Texas Philharmonic, flute instructor at Southwestern University, and flutist with flute/harp duo Chaski. She has music degrees from Lewis and Clark College and the University of Texas at Austin. An avid birder and environmentalist, she lives in the rural hill country of Central Texas. Poet Alfonsina Storni began writing during a tumultuous childhood fraught with economic hardships, many disruptive moves, and an alcoholic father. She danced with a theatrical troupe and then became a teacher and journalist. She bore a child out of wedlock and found herself working as a single mother during socially oppressive times. In Buenos Aires she joined the emerging world of women’s rights, becoming an important literary voice in the movement. When her breast cancer returned, her lifelong passion for the sea culminated in her suicide off of the coast of Argentina. Río de La Plata en lluvia from Mascarilla y Trébol (1938) lines 1-4 by Alfonsina Storni in the public domain Ya casi el cielo te apretaba, ciego, y sumergida una ciudad tenías en tu cuerpo de grises heliotropos neblivelado en su copón de llanto. [The sky was about to embrace you, blind, and you had in your body of gray heliotropes a submerged city, with the misty sky like a chalice about to overflow with tears.] Program note: Commissioned for Dr. Ramona M. Wis and the North Central College Women’s Chorale of Naperville, Illinois, La ciudad sumergida (The Submerged City) by Adrienne Inglis for four-part treble chorus with nature soundtrack captures the mood of a river, a city, the cloudy sky, and the poet’s own profound melancholy. The sound of rain creates both the ambiance of a misty day on the river and the sensation of cathartic crying from great sadness and pain. The city’s reflection on the river’s surface gives the illusion that the city is submerged in the water. The reflection of the clouds hovering low over Río de La Plata looks like gray heliotrope flowers. The apocalyptic images of a submerged city and of tears overflowing from the chalice-sky eerily foreshadow rising sea levels due to anthropogenic global warming. The nature soundtrack of rain was recorded by the composer in the hill country of central Texas, July 2020. Performance note: This aleatoric, asynchronous composition is suitable for remote singing along with the video score and nature soundtrack. Observe the order of entrances, but know that it’s not meant to line up exactly. Finish a phrase even if another phrase has started. Diphthongs move immediately to the second vowel sound. Ya begins with the [dÊ’] sound and llanto begins with the [Ê’] sound, both typical of the Buenos Aires accent. Sing quite expressively except for the neblivelado section which is misty and veiled. The director may wish to indicate the rehearsals numbers or the singers may follow the time on the video-or both. Duration: 3:08 Link to video with soundtrack is available from the composer (http://adrienneinglis.com). Acknowledgements: The composer warmly thanks Pablo and Diana Donatti, Ãngeles Rodríguez Cadena, and Emilio Torres for their contributions to this project and to Dr. Ramona M. Wis and the North Central College Women’s Chorale for the generous commission. Copyright © 2020 Adrienne Inglis | http://adrienneinglis.com

Sheng and piano - Digital Download SKU: S9.Q557358 Konzert für Sheng und Orchester. Composed by Enjott Schneider. Downloadable, Piano reduction with solo part. Duration 30 minutes. Schott Music - Digital #Q557358. Published by Schott Music - Digital (S9.Q557358). Girtain IV (A0.912545). Program NotesAs part of an ongoing artistic collaboration between the conductor Hingrid Kujawinski and composer Edgar Girtain, Every Day isThanksgiving is a choral adaptation of a quotation by Gladys Widdis, elder of theWampanoag Native American tribe. Her words of wisdom are worthy of meditation by all people:Every day [is] a day of thanksgiving to the Wampanoag...[We] give thanks for the dawn of thenew day, at the end of the day, to the sun, to the moon, for rain for helping crops grow...There [is]always something to be thanksful for...Giving thanks comes naturally for the Wampanoag... About the ComposerEdgar F Girtain IV is an American composer who work has been hailed as immediatley captivating by the NewYork Times. A commanding poly-stylist, his orchestral, chamber, and vocal work has garnered acclaim for its poetic temperment and dramatic scope, with recent performances at the Imperial College in London, the Conservatories of Helsinki and Seville, Northwestern University, and Carnegie Hall.
