Jazz Combo - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1220916 By Wes Montgomery. By John L. (Wes) Montgomery and Sascha Burland. Arranged by Arranged by Alan Fagan & Dr. LeRoy Henry. 20th Century,Blues,Jazz,Standards. 7 pages. Dr. LeRoy Henry #817258. Published by Dr. LeRoy Henry (A0.1220916).      Fortunately for us, guitarist Wes Montgomery went over to Europe in the spring of 1965 and toured. We're lucky, because Montgomery wound up on European TV shows during many of his stops, resulting in lots of video clips.      Wes was filmed May 7 in England with pianist Stan Tracey, bassist Rick Laird, and drummer Jackie Dougan. This session is quite different from the April 4 session in Belgium with pianist Harold Mabern, bassist Arthur Harper and drummer Jimmy Lovelaceand the April 2, 1965 session in Holland with pianist Pim Jacobs, bassist Ruud Jacobs and drummer Han Bennink in that it includes commentary from club owner Ronnie Scott, who explains the career and music of Wes Montgomery as if he were giving a lecture. The music, of course, features more of Montgomery's great stuff with personable glimpses at each of the artists. The quartet swings and seems to enjoy every minute of the show. The guitarist's West Coast Blues, in particular, makes this video stand out as an unforgettable piece of jazz history.     An interesting thing about this video, the horn section did not know that the chord changes for solos were different than the changes for the theme. One can imagine that Wes was not traveling with a Real Book so the group did not learn this from paper. This arrangement corrects that issue and includes a head chart for the rhythm section and a version for guitar with tablature. It also includes trumpet, alto saxophone, tenor saxophone, and baritone saxophone.

Guitar - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1342819 Composed by John W. Fisher. Christian,Instructional,March,Religious,Sacred. Chords/Lyrics. 3 pages. John Fisher #928327. Published by John Fisher (A0.1342819). JESUS WAS WALKING is a sermon song based on the sermon On the Way to Jerusalem preached by Dr. Paul de Jong at First  Presbyterian Church, Fort Myers Florida, on December 3, 2023.  It is an arrangement of the children's song, Walking With Jesus which I first learned in French in Haiti in 1965. I have seen it with cartoons on the internet in Portugese, Spanish and Japanese.  My lyrics are anything but childlike.  They portray what Mark 10:32-52 tells of the march of Jesus to Jerusalem, where he lays out to the tone deaf disciples that he will be delivered to the priests, and Gentiles, killed, but on the third day he would arise from the dead. And having heard this, James and John ignore his message and want to know who will sit on his right and left when his kingdom comes.  He has to correct them that his kingdom was not like that of the Gentiles.  The other ten disciples rebuke James and John, but Jesus teaches them that to be great, one must be a servant to all. Finally, a blind man comes forward asking a favor, but unlike  James and John, he only asks in humility that he might see. His faith heals him and the march goes on.Guitar chords are provided and an autoharp would be appropriate.

Choral Choir (SATB) - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.855083 Composed by Albert L. Peace (1844-1912). Arranged by Joseph Pugh. Christian,Classical,Contemporary,Sacred,Standards. Octavo. 17 pages. Joseph Pugh #6133025. Published by Joseph Pugh (A0.855083). O Love that wilt not let me go.Dr. Matheson says this hymn was written in the Manse of my former parish (Innellan, Argyleshire) one summer evening in 1882. It was composed with extreme rapidity; it seemed to me that its construction occupied only a few minutes, and I felt myself rather in the position of one who was being dictated to than of an original artist I was suffering from extreme mental distress, and the hymn was the fruit of pain. This hymn first appeared in the Church of Scotland magazine, Life and Work, in 1883. From thence it passed into the Scottish Hymnal 1884; and there set to special music by Dr. A. L. Peace. It is a beautiful and tender hymn and worthy of extensive use--John Julian, Dictionary of Hymnology, Appendix, Part II (1907)This SATB arrangement by Joseph Pugh is set with classical style piano accompaniment.

Alto Saxophone,Piano - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.796747 By Piano Tribute Players. By Bernie Taupin and Elton John. Arranged by Gary D. Belshaw (ASCAP). Contemporary. Score and part. 13 pages. DR GARY D BELSHAW #4631187. Published by DR GARY D BELSHAW (A0.796747). For the advanced intermediate saxophonist. Three-and-a-half minutes. 13 pages. This enormously popular tune translates so naturally for the solo saxophone with a more classical (serious concert music) feel. Not only is this a solid recital closer, it is an excellent choice for social obligations and for recruiting. Free improvisations are welcome. Reward your advanced pupils with a gift of this arrangement. Thank you for considering my music. Your reviews are really important to me and are deeply appreciated. Follow me on Facebook (Gary D.
