This is a solo guitar instrumental arrangement in both TAB and standard notation (including lyrics for reference) of Colors of the Wind (from Pocahontas), created by Brad Powell The Candlelight Guitarist--for his performances in the Princess Breakfast Adventure at the Disneyland Resort's Grand Californian hotel (Napa Rose restaurant), from 2019 to early 2024. Brad performed this for Pocahontas, her friends, and guests. It's an intermediate level larrangement mixing pop with basic classical fingerstyle techniques. It was their greatest hit and one of the first country music songs to attract major attention in the pop music field. This version features a root-based chord blocking that John and I have used in a number of our arrangements. Dacker Music #1092836. Published by Dacker Music (A0.1518714). A barcarolle was originally a traditional Venetian gondolier song, usually in gentle 6/8 meter (think “Santa Lucia”). The name has also long been used in classical music for other compositions in that style. Of a great many barcarolles in the literature, the best-known is probably the duet “Belle nuit, o nuit d’amour “ from Jacques Offenbach’s final opera “Les Contes d’Hoffman.” This is a reasonably faithful arrangement for string quartet of that famous melody.
