This flexibly scored piece is a musical reflection of this artwork, in 6 sections (labelled A-F), for any mixed ensemble, with an untuned percussion part (F). Rhythms and pitch material remain similar throughout. However, following an initial solo statement (A), the texture is continually varied within the context of multiple free canons (B-E). The piece concludes with a conventionally notated and conducted unison section (in octaves), as the work comes full circle (F). Note: this document is the full score (with transpositions indicated).
