Small Ensemble C Instrument,Folk Instrument,Instrumental Solo,Piano,Treble Clef Instrument,Zither - Level 1 - Digital Download SKU: A0.565897 By Sharon Wilson. By George Strattner. Arranged by Sharon Wilson. Easter,Instructional,Praise & Worship,Sacred,Standards. Score and individual part. 5 pages. Sharon Wilson #6508649. Published by Sharon Wilson (A0.565897). Here is an easy instrumental duet arrangement (for BOWED PSALTERY solo with PIANO accompaniment) of the familiar hymn Father, Lead Me Day by Day by George C. Strattner with lyrics by John P. Hopps. The psaltery part was designed for a beginning psaltery player and is presented in the key of C major with no sharps or flats. The piano accompaniment is at the early-intermediate level. To assist those new to reading music notation, two solo parts are included: one is the standard music notation and includes the lyrics for sing along enjoyment. The second solo part is identical to the standard music but instead of lyrics, the note names are provided below each note (example A, B, C…). The PSALTERY plays the melody throughout. An optional repeat is included in case a longer song is desired. A piano accompaniment and/or rehearsal track (MP3 format) is available for this arrangement as a separate purchase: Father, Lead Me Day by Day (Piano Accompaniment Track for Easy Bowed Psaltery Solo). The range of a typical soprano psaltery is two octaves beginning with the G above middle C (G4). However, since some psalteries have fewer than 25 strings, the range for this song is only 1 octave. Also, the notes are written an octave lower on the staff so they are easier to read and learn for beginner musicians. The notated range for this song is C4 (middle C) to C5 (one octave above middle C).The purchase price includes a combined score (grand staff, 3-stave) with both parts (PSALTERY and PIANO) on each page, plus 2 options for the 1-staff solo part (one with lyrics, one with alphabetic note names). The solo part could also be played by other instruments with the same range such as a violin, recorder, or any instrument with as little as an 8-note diatonic scale range.Visit Sharon Wilson’s website: www.SharonWilsonMusic.comSubscribe to her YouTube Channel: www.youtube.com/user/SharonWilsonMusic

French Horn,Piano - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.767581 Composed by Mike Lyons. 20th Century,Concert,Contemporary,Standards. Score and part. 38 pages. Lyons Music Services #6457097. Published by Lyons Music Services (A0.767581). This is my third new sonata for French horn. it has three movements as follows:   Movement 1: Dance It begins with a crotchet theme which forms the basis of the rest of the movement. The opening should be stately and measured, but not slow. The echoes should be as quiet as possible for each statement of the opening motif. I have made a lot of use of rhythmic features in this movement. After the Maestoso, the 12/8 section is in the nature of a jig, with lots of repeated pitches and very rhythmical There's much use of syncopation. After I have played around with these ideas (intervals based on the opening) there is a more legato tune, also based on the opening music, but in a grander style and marked nobilmente. This is almost a processional, and leads to a reprise of the jig motifs in a new mode and with modifications to the rhythm. The second movement of this sonata is a set of 3 variations on an original tune. The melody is quite hymn-like and needs to be played as such. Very legato, with very slight tongue. Variation 1 is an 8th note variation, with a slight increase in tempo to help it to flow. The player will need to pay close attention to the written phrasing so as not to lose the theme. This variation is p throughout. Variation 2 is a triplet/sextuplet variation, again with a slight increase in tempo. This variation has turns, which I have written out in ossias above to be clear how I would like it to be played. Variation 3 is a semiquaver and glissando variation, requiring good tongue technique and clear phrasing. Breathing should be easy as I have made provision for breaths to mark the ends of phrases. Please don't change these! Finally, there is a restatement of the original theme with slight adaptations to bring the movement to a quiet finish. The third and final movement of the sonata is a rondo. The opening music keeps returning throughout the length of the movement. It comprises a stuttering rhythmic phrase with alternating upwards and downwards scales which gradually build up throughout the opening of the movement. Each time the ritornello idea returns it has been altered in some way. Between the ritornelli are slightly less frenetic sections of cantabile melodic ideas which hark back to both the first and second movements as well as referencing the scalic ideas from the third movement. Although the music is fast, it should be playable without resorting to triple tonguing.

Piano Solo - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.844642 Composed by Phil Beaman. 20th Century,Classical,New Age. Score. 3 pages. Phil Beaman #4571315. Published by Phil Beaman (A0.844642). Two people are playing a spirited games of marbles. The energetic music (Vivace) goes back and forth between the two players. Drama builds. Then an Andante Espressivo section as the victorious player pauses to admire the beauty of the striped marble he has just won. Then Round 2 in the dominant key and another striped marble in the bag. A Recapitulation and a Picardy Third conclude the game with satisfaction.  The notes and rhythms of this Piano Solo are quite easy. The interest comes from the contrasting sections; energy vs espressivo, vivace vs andante, detached vs slurred. Contains mostly 2-part writing. Both hands are usually in the Treble Clef, most of the time in close proximity, requiring some coordination. This piece is fun to play and very showy for concert.84 bars; 2 minutes; 3 page score
