KPHMS 'Solo Collection

This is a lovely relaxed arrangement of the George & Ira Gershwin classic song famously sung by Ella Fitzgerald amongst a host of other stars.

It is undoubtedly one of the Gershwin's best loved ballads, although it started out life as an 'upbeat' number, marked Scherzando in the original score.

The solo part is around Grade 4/5 ABRSM/Trinity in terms of standard.

All Creatures Of Our God And King and All Things Bright And Beautiful represent two of the most joyful Christian hymns. Hymnals often set the lyrics to adaptations of two 17th century melodies - Lasst uns erfreuen and Royal Oak - notably adapted by Ralph Vaughan Williams (1906) and Martin Shaw (1915). 

As I looked for music for my daughter and I to play at church during her winter break these two hymns caught my attention. I blended them together and let them dance for joy . . . just a little. .
