It is, for the most part, carefully written and presents few difficulties to the editor. Nonetheless, there are instances where dynamic markings and articulations are ambiguous and, in some places, where the pitches are unclear. In order to facilitate performance, the style and notation of articulation and dynamic markings have been standardized throughout, and, where missing from the autograph, markings have been reconstructed from parallel passages. These are indicated by the use of dotted slurs or brackets. Obvious wrong notes have been corrected without comment; editorial emendations with no authority from the source are places within brackets.
