But he never gave up trying to woo her. I gleaned through these hundreds of letters translated by Benito Ortolani in his book, Pirandello's Love Letters to Marta Abba, and extracted excerpts from eight letters that give a small vignette of Pirandello's obsession with his muse, Marta.
