Chamaeleon belongs to the Petrus Plancius constellations named for exotic animals. This colour-changing lizard lounges languidly in the sun until… snap! The long tongue whips out and captures the fly. On the star chart for the southern hemisphere Chamaeleon is sometimes illustrated with his tongue flicking out at Musca, the fly. In this Early Intermediate Piano Duet, Secondo plays a Latin style tumbao with the left hand and a montuno with the right hand. Primo’s rhythm is a bit tricky, but it often matches Secondo’s left hand. Perfect for Student and Teacher, siblings, or friends to play together. Performance Time 2 minutes. 5 pages. From “88 Constellations†a collection by Heather Cattanach featuring one piece of piano music for each of the 88 constellations (to match the number of keys on a standard piano).
