The Battle of Kresvia is an a capella choral piece that tells the story of several knights going to fight in a mythical battle. There are several phases throughout this song. It starts out with a recurring melody of the soldiers marching, then the knights pause to dream about what they will encounter. However, all of their dreams turn to nightmares when they realize the mortal terror they will encounter. The warriors drearily march until their commander riles the troops and raises their morale. An acappella choral piece dedicated to the victims of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks in New York City. Scored for SSATB choir. A dramatic Latin text setting in F minor, composed in the tintinnabuli style made famous by Arvo Pärt. Pärt calls his vocal composition technique tintinnabuli, a Latin word meaning ‘the ringing of bells’. Pärt claims that the three notes of a triad ‘ring like bells’. In tintinnabuli, the tonic triad is always present somewhere within the piece; either the root, third, or fifth of the tonic triad will always be heard. This provides the unique ability to create striking dissonances that remain unified by the underlying tonality, and resolve satisfyingly back into the tonic. This is evident when listening to Epitaphium Innocentum; the way that one or more lines drift away stepwise from the tonal center while others remain on it is jarring in motion, but very pleasing upon resolution.  We are the heroes -- we are the axis of the stars.

“Endless Fanfare†is a transcription of an original organ toccata composed by the Parisian organist Nicolas Jacques Lemmens. In the style of a French suite, this piece may be condensed or expanded to fit nearly any performance situation. Played quickly and without repeats, it builds to a satisfying climax. Taken at a more moderate tempo and with all repeats (including an unwritten but implied optional DC from the end of measure 78), “Endless Fanfare†may continue forever.

The arrangement is for full choir using 3, 4, 5, or 6 octaves of handbells, and the piece is Level 3 when played with a full complement of ringers.

All stopped sounds are left to the director's discretion, depending on the performance context and personal taste. The bass must provide a solid foundation, but never be overbearing. Plucked sounds would create a sharp accent and quick decay; malletted sounds should be much softer; martellati would be quite harsh.

Exceptional skill and endurance is required of the F5+G5 and A5+B5 ringers, who must maintain a contant but subtle off-beat pulse throughout.

The tempo must remain steady and without rubato, until the final two measures.

Performance time:  4 minutes.

This arrangement is a unique take on the Scooby Doo theme song, as it is to be sung by just 4 voices together in close harmony in the style of Barbershop, a type of A Capella music. It is designed for an all-male barbershop quartet to sing at competitions, shows, parties, and many other kinds of gatherings. It may be sung by a larger Barbershop chorus, with 4 distinct parts and multiple people on each part, but works best when sung as a quartet. The arrangement is based off of the theme song to a Saturday morning animated cartoon series titled Scooby Doo, Where Are You!, which debuted in 1969 and ran actively until 1976. The premise of the show is a gang of five mystery-solving teenagers and their Great Dane dog, Scooby Doo investigating the various spooky occurrences in the area caused by supernatural creatures that terrorize the people in the area. While the gang is overall very intelligent and adept at finding clues which always leads to success at apprehending any suspects involved, their key to success lies in Scooby-Doo, whom the gang depends on for his waggish nature and the tricks he plays on the monsters or villains. While Scooby Doo is often filled with trepidation at the thought of being near any monsters or haunted houses, he often overcomes that fear when his team needs it the most, especially when his favorite treat is promised for coming through: Scooby Snacks.
