Woodwind Ensemble Bass Clarinet,Bassoon,English Horn,Flute,Oboe - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1045069 Composed by Traditional Latin. Arranged by Mark R Lewis. Christmas,Classical,Holiday,Sacred,Traditional. 15 pages. Mark R Lewis #649632. Published by Mark R Lewis (A0.1045069). O Come, O Come Emmanuel is an ancient Latin hymn associated with the Vespers services leading up to Christmas. This woodwind ensemble arrangement by Mark R Lewis imitates the tradition of Latin plainsong but is fully modern in conception. While this arrangement is not too extreme in terms of notes and rhythms, it will stretch the limits most players' ranges and incorporates some complex harmonies. The arrangement is incorporates a pedal note drone that jumps between instruments throughout the piece. The flute part has three divisi parts and there are two distinct bassoon parts. Additionally there are oboe, Bb clarinet, English Horn, and Bb bass clarinet parts and an optional hand drum part. While this arrangement does work as a standalone ensemble, Mark has also published SATB and string ensemble settings that work wonderfully as additions to this arrangement. Range: Key of d minor Flutes - 2 + octaves (A4 - Bb6) Oboe - 1 1/2 octaves (C4 - A5) Clarinet - 2 + octaves (B3 - A5) English Horn - 1 1/2 octaves (B3 - G5) Bass Clarinet - 1 octave (D4 - D5) Bassoons - 1 1/2 octaves (D2 - Bb3).

Woodwind Ensemble - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.768500 Composed by Franz Joseph Haydn. Arranged by Roar Kvam. Classical,Concert. 114 pages. KVAMusic Edition #3454071. Published by KVAMusic Edition (A0.768500). About 1785, Haydn received a commission to write a series of concertos for Ferdinand IV, King of Naples and the Twin Sicilies. It was a very curious commission; for these concertos were to be written for a pair of strange instruments, the so-called Lira organizzata. The lira was a favourite instrument of the lazzaroni, the common people of Neaples: the Bourbon King, though often a rough and uncouth monarch, had a deep affection for his people. and for all their peculiar customs, and it is characteristic that his favourite musical instrument should have been that so beloved by his people. In a letter from the King of Neaples there are two points which explain much of the peculiar character of Haydn’s concertos for the King: the first is the restricted tonal range of all the works, C, F and G major are the only principal keys allowed. The second is the range of the lira itself which is about that of an oboe. Bearing these limitations in mind, Haydn did not attempt to write complicated double concertos, but rather ensemble music for two lire, two violins, two violas, cello and two horns, in other words, 9 solo instruments.  (This edition: Flute, oboe, two clarinets, two basset horns, bassoon, contrabass and two horns). Moreover, he neatly combined the concerto form with that of the divertimento: there is often no strict division into solo and tutti, but constant intermingling of both. Wonderful music by Haydn, originally written for a mixed ensemble of 2 liras, 2 Horns and strings, but this is a transcription for a classical wind ensemble, a great companion for a concert together with i.e. Mozart’s Gran Partita, since it has almost the same instrumentation.

Published by Austin Ralphson (A0.563398). Children (and adults) who learn a musical instrument will always progress at different rates. Students also develop some of the many skills involved in instrumental playing faster than other skills. The Mixed Abilities School Ensemble Series for Easy String Orchestra has the flexibility to allow pupils of different standards to play together in one ensemble (up to five parts). Each piece has a total of 5 different parts which are fully interchangeable between violins, violas and cellos (double basses can double the cello parts). So whether you have 15 violins and a viola, or 3 violins, or 4 cellos or whatever, the pieces will still work well together. All parts are provided for all instruments. Part 5 uses long notes on open strings. The other parts gradually increase in difficulty up to Part 1, which uses first and second positions. The teacher should select appropriate parts for the players in the group. WHAT A LOVELY STROLL is the first piece in this series, and follows a traditional ternary form. Please listen to the mp3 file, which is an electronic example of the piece being played with 4 violin parts and a cello on Part 5. Woodwind Ensemble - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.813846 Composed by Antonin Dvorak. Arranged by Regis Bookshar. Concert,Contemporary,Folk,Romantic Period,Standards. 18 pages. Regis Bookshar #6537757. Published by Regis Bookshar (A0.813846). Largo (from Symphony No. 9 in E minor) (From the New World) (Db) (Woodwind Ensemble) - Intermediate - Digital Download. This marvelous arrangement of the Largo, based on the second movement of Antonin Dvorak's Symphony No. 9 in E minor, would be a fabulous addition to any music library and could be performed for concerts, recitals and church services, especially Funerals, but would be appropriate any time during the church year. This arrangement is suitable for high school and college students but professional musicians would also enjoy playing this selection. Included are a score and a complete set of parts (24 pages). This selection is one of the many arrangements from the The Regis Bookshar Trumpet Ensemble's extensive music library which are being made available for the first time.Symphony No. 9 in E minor, Op. 95 (subtitled From the New World and popularly know as the New World Symphony), was composed by Antonin Dvorak in 1893 while he was the director of the National Conservatory of Music of America from 1892 to 1895. It premiered at Carnegie Hall in New York City on December 16, 1893 and has been described as one of the most popular of all symphonies. The second movement of the symphony, upon which this arrangement is based, is marked Largo, and begins with a harmonic progression of chords which is then followed by a solo instrument playing the famous main theme.Dvorak was interested in Native American music and the African-American spirituals he heard in North America. While director of the National Conservatory he encountered an African-American student, Harry T. Burleigh, who sang traditional spirituals to him. Burleigh, later a composer himself, said that Dvorak had absorbed their spirit before writing his own melodies. Dvorak stated:    I am convinced that the future music of this country must be founded on what are called Negro melodies. These can be the foundation of a serious and original school of composition to be developed in the United States. These beautiful and varied themes are the product of the soil. They are folk songs of America and your composers must turn to them.He further explained how Native American music influenced his symphony:  I have not actually used any of these (Native American) melodies. I have simply written original themes embodying the peculiarities of the Indian music, and, using these themes as subjects, have developed them with all the resources of modern rhythms, counterpoint, and orchestral colour. In 1893, a newspaper interview quoted Dvorak as saying, I found that the music of the negroes and of the Indians was practically identical, and that the music of the two races bore a remarkable similarity to the music of Scotland. Most historians agree that Dvorak is referring to the pentatonic scale, which is typical of each of these musical traditions.Dvorak was influenced not only by music he heard, but also by what he had seen, in America. He wrote that he would not have composed his American pieces as he had if he had not seen America. It has been said that Dvorak was inspired by the wide open spaces of America, such as the prairies he may have seen on his trip to Iowa in the summer of 1893. Notices about several performances of the symphony include the phrase wide open spaces about what inspired the symphony and/or about the feelings it conveys to listeners. The theme from the Largo was adapted into the spiritual Goin' Home (often mistakenly considered a folk song or traditional spiritual) by Dvorak's pupil, William Arms Fisher, who wrote the lyrics in 1922. Regis Bookshar thought it would be wonderful if other instrumentalists could have the opportunity to play this beautiful melody, so, he has created this version for a Woodwind Ensemble. Parts included with the purchase are a 1st Flute, a 2nd Flute, a 1st Oboe, a 2nd Oboe, a 1st Clarinet in Bb, a 2nd Clari.

Brass Ensemble Bass Trombone,Euphonium,Horn,Trumpet,Tuba - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1297452 Composed by Felix Bartholdy Mendelssohn. Arranged by Shinya Ishida. 19th Century,Classical,Wedding. Score and Parts. 31 pages. BitNotes.jp #887509. Published by BitNotes.jp (A0.1297452). The Wedding March is a delightful composition by the German composer Felix Mendelssohn, originally conceived as part of the incidental music for William Shakespeare's play A Midsummer Night's Dream. This enchanting piece comes to life during the wedding scene, set on a magical night where fairies revel and four young lovers, along with the Fairy King and Queen, find themselves entangled in the mischief of a love potion, ultimately celebrating two joyous unions.Composed in 1842, this piece gained widespread recognition when it was performed alongside Wagner's Bridal Chorus at the wedding of Prince Friedrich of Prussia and Princess Victoria of the United Kingdom in 1858. Since then, it has remained a timeless classic and a staple in weddings and joyous celebrations worldwide. We have meticulously transcribed this iconic wedding composition for a brass ensemble featuring ten musicians (3 trumpets, 3 horns, 3 trombones, and 1 tuba). For those seeking to add an extra layer of grandeur to their performance, optional percussion instruments (cymbals and triangle) can be seamlessly incorporated. It's worth noting that the Bass Trombone part can be played on the Euphonium as well, offering flexibility to the ensemble. Given the piece's length and multiple repetitions, individual performers can consider omitting repeats or making cuts to suit the performance scene and endurance levels.Elevate your special occasion with this timeless masterpiece, the Wedding March, expertly arranged for brass ensemble. It's the perfect choice to add a touch of elegance and magic to your wedding or celebratory event.

Woodwind Ensemble - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1115994 By Thomas Graf. By Thomas Graf. Arranged by Thomas Graf. 20th Century,Classical,Jazz. 27 pages. Thomas Graf - the-hit-factory.com #717714. Published by Thomas Graf - the-hit-factory.com (A0.1115994). Fantasy in 3 movements for large wind ensemble, double bass and percussion 1. Deux Caracteres 2. Dialogues 3. Dance de Confusion Confluence is the name of a place in Lyon where 2 rivers flow together: The Saône flows into the - at least in German - female Rhone. In French, however, it flows into DEN Rhone - Le Rhône. This confuses the composer: How do rivers get their gender, are they sometimes male, sometimes female? Is it because of their character, because of the landscape that they flow through? By their water, even by their fish? On the people on their shores? A real confusion ensues. In the subsequent thoughts about music, the composer discovers certain analogies and asks himself the question: does gender-typical music actually exist? Or instruments? Typically male harmonies or rhythms? Or clearly female melodies and the way to interpret? The 3-movement composition is dedicated to this question and meanders like a dance in the bed of the converging streams. Colorful modal harmonies form the bed for wide arcs of melody. A varied, recurring theme sets the direction and creates a bubbling, dancing pull in the direction of the mouth: dancing finale! 1st movement: Deux Characters In the first movement (Andante) the roles are distributed - the Sâone and the Rhône get their performers. A first glance at the ensemble reveals a tendency: woodwinds take on the female lead, the male brass the counterpart. The two drummers each support one of the two poles in solidarity. The assignment may be obvious, but strong doubts remain in the final chord of the first movement. 2. Dialogues: In smaller and larger dialogues, there is a lively exchange and the properties are worked out and further developed. But it is also increasingly being copied and imitated, even maliciously agitated and aped. You try to convince each other, interrupt each other, both sides increasingly flare up, it gets louder and more hectic, louder and louder, too loud, until communication stops: in the end, you just yell at each other! 3. Dance de Confusion The resulting confusion finds a conciliatory end in the third movement of the composition: Let's dance! In the end, the initial confusion turns into a confusion: what belongs together flows and dances together. Composed by: Thomas H. Graf Arranged by: Thomas H.
