Practicing your technique has never been so much fun; from mordents to syncopation with lots of varying articulation including staccato, slur, accents, and tenutos.

Then an Andante Espressivo section as the victorious player pauses to admire the beauty of the striped marble he has just won. Then Round 2 in the dominant key and another striped marble in the bag. A Recapitulation and a Picardy Third conclude the game with satisfaction.  The notes and rhythms are quite easy. (Some might find a slight challenge in the 1 1/2 octave range or the quick tempo).   The interest comes from the contrasting sections; energy vs espressivo, vivace vs andante, detached vs slurred.  This piece is fun to play and very showy for concert.84 bars; 2 minutes; 3 page score; 2 page part
