I wrote this for my partner, a trumpet player, for Valentine's Day as a gift so that they could play a love song with me, a tuba player. The tuba part is regrettably repetative, but serves as the driving beat since there is no drum part to hold the tempo. The trumpet is the main melody that loosely follows how Dan Auerbach sings it. E major can be tricky, so it can easily be transposed to E flat major if needed. Lastly, Measures 26-29 can be played in either octave but is recommended that both players agree on taking either the low or high part for spacing purposes. Thank you for taking a look!
