Woodwind Ensemble - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.956663 Composed by Felix Bartholdy Mendelssohn. Arranged by Catriona Melville-Mason. Romantic Period. 91 pages. C Melville-Mason #6735339. Published by C Melville-Mason (A0.956663). This is an arrangement of Mendelssohn’s overture The Hebrides (Fingal’s Cave), intended for a medium-sized saxophone orchestra.  It has been categorised as ‘advanced’, as the length and tempo of the work make it quite challenging.  However, provided the main parts are covered by competent players, those with less experience can either double, judiciously omitting any problem sections, or in some cases opt for the appropriate ‘easier’ add-on part. Essential Parts: Part 1: Sopranino Saxophone Part 2: Soprano Saxophone Part 3: Alto Saxophone Part 4: Alto Saxophone Part 5: Alto Saxophone Part 6: Tenor Saxophone Part 7: Tenor Saxophone Part 8: Baritone Saxophone Part 9: Bass Saxophone   Optional Parts:   Easier Alto Saxophone Easier Tenor Saxophone Contrabass Saxophone   Mendelssohn visited Scotland in 1829 and, after a tour of the Highlands, travelled by steamer from Fort William to Oban and thence to the Hebridean island of Mull.  From there, he made the short boat trip to the small island of Staffa, to visit Fingal’s Cave – a sea cave formed of hexagonal basalt columns, with a highly intriguing natural acoustic. The Hebrides overture was inspired by this segment of Mendelssohn’s Scottish travels.  The work is an early example of a tone poem: a musical representation of the scenery, wind and weather of the Scottish Hebridean islands, reflecting their sudden and infinite changeability. After some revisions, the overture received its first performance in May 1832 and remains a favourite with audiences to this day.  It has been central in establishing – and sustaining – the popularity of Fingal’s Cave as a tourist destination. This is an adaptation of an arrangement that was originally created for a woodwind course held on another Scottish island – Skye, which is the largest and most northerly of the Inner Hebrides.

In 1845 Felix Mendelssohn was working on 2 movements for a 6th symphony in C-Major (shortly before he begann working on his Elijah oratorion). This is an attempt to complete them in his style and for the first time. I. Allegro ma non troppoFor the first movement a full score of the first 2 minutes (79 measures) exist and additionally sketches for further passages were included and elaborated here: m. 81 - 93: transition to the 2nd theme m. 107 - 116: 2nd theme m. 146 - 150 ending of the exposition m. 152 - 165: beginning of the development m. 196 - 204: canonic passage 11:57 II. Andante cantabile The very melodious sketches for the first 2:15 minutes were worked out to a second movement with variations on the main theme and a more passionate middle part. This publication includes the score and parts and is addressed to any conductors and orchestras willing to play unknown, excellent music by Mendelssohn put in a context true to his idiom. Small Ensemble Drum Set,Horn - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.873894 By The Beach Boys. By Chuck Berry. Arranged by Petey C. Pop,Rock. Score and parts. 15 pages. Petey C. #6256089. Published by Petey C. (A0.873894). First of all, if you're considering purchasing this quartet, check out the store on my website https://peteyc.com/store to see what I have there. My arrangements there are cheaper and most of the revenue will go to the arranger (me) instead of sheet music plus.Another Beach boys quartet because The Beach Boys are great. As a teenager, I was definitely exposed to a fair amount of their music for some reason. It's not always easy to transform this kind of music into an idiom that sounds good as instrumental chamber music, however, this is part of my quest to develop a broad range of popular music that I can play live with a small group on the horn. This is great for university students and professionals... maybe even high school students. There are not a lot of great, challenging horn quartet arrangements out there, like this one is. This arrangement helps fill a niche for small ensemble in that horn quartet music typically lacks repertoire in most contemporary and rock genres. This one has a kit part included, which isn't necessary to perform this quartet, but might make it easier if a quartet to perform it with drums if they wanted to.The melody gets passed around a bit so it's fun and interesting for everyone. Score, parts and cover arts included. I hope someone out there tries this arrangement and has fun!

Piano Solo - Digital Download SKU: A0.1003947 Composed by Faith Angelina. Contemporary,Praise & Worship,Sacred,Spiritual. Score. 3 pages. Faith Angelina Music #3141419. Published by Faith Angelina Music (A0.1003947). From twelve year old composer Faith Angelina off her debut album Reaching 12 (available at FaithAngelina.com).  This song was a turning point for me as I looked for help from my destructive feelings and found the love and support that was always within my reach.  - Faith Angelina It was August 8th, 2016, when Faith’s mother found the suicide note left on her minivan.  It was a heart stopping moment.  The type that slows down time and changes all priorities and perspectives.  On the front side of the paper it said, PLEASE READ in big letters.  On the back was the following… Dear Mom, I am writing this to inform you about something I didn’t have the strength to tell you in person.  I have depression.  I know you think that we all go through a stage where we are sad it’s true, but this is not the case.  I thought that I just had a sad time too until I realized I had been thinking about killing myself many times.  I know that this is hard to hear but I felt it was important to tell you something I had been holding back for 5 years.  I hope you can think of me the same after this note, and know that me thinking about killing myself is NOT your fault. Love,  Faith   After an immediate trip to the doctor, it was discovered that Faith didn’t have clinical depression but that she suffered from a hormonal imbalance in her body.  She had been waking up in the middle of the night over half of her young life and wandering around while the rest of the family slept.  With a small prescription, and lots of love, Faith headed off to start middle school and a magical year that would follow. Shortly after this experience, Faith composed a new song called Finding Hope and finished up on three others she had been working on.

Chamber Orchestra - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1004721 Composed by Ludwig van Beethoven. Arranged by Adrian Gagiu. Classical. Score and parts. 48 pages. Adrian Gagiu #6204599. Published by Adrian Gagiu (A0.1004721). Beethoven's Romance No. 1 in G major for violin and orchestra op. 40 (c. 1801) was transposed in C major, arranged in the new key and appropriate tempo, and expanded to form a rondo Finale fit for his unfinished Concerto in C major, of which only about a half of a clean copy of the first movement survived as WoO 5 (1791-1792). Also, a newly composed solo cadenza was now inserted. Almost surely, the Romance No. 2 in F major op. 50 (c. 1791?) was intended as the slow movement of the Concerto (it has virtually the same scoring as WoO 5, the manuscript bears no title, and there is a thematic relation to WoO 5). The Romance No. 1 in G major was probably intended as a replacement or alternate slow movement, but it is his only composition relatable to the Concerto fragment, so I adapted it as conjecture Finale for a complete performing version of the Concerto.
