The arrangement slowly builds throughout the piece culminating in 3-part harmony before being scaled back to a monophonic vocal line again. Remembering that this is a folk song, the text should be sung in a simple, innocent style. While writing this piece, we often thought about picturing the countryside of youth. The text deals with one of the most personal things in one's life and that is the subject of life after death. We really hope you enjoy performing this piece as much as we did writing it.
