Chamber Orchestra - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1511104 Composed by Claus Woschenko (*1979). 21st Century,Classical,Contemporary. 56 pages. Claus Woschenko #1086314. Published by Claus Woschenko (A0.1511104). Claus Woschenko: Frieden (Peace) - Trumpet Concerto (2023)- Full score -In view of the many actual wars and crises worldwide, my concert “Frieden” (“Peace”) for trumpet, percussion, timpani, string quartet and string orchestra from 2023 represents my explicit commitment to humanity, democracy and discourse instead of hate, dictatorship and intolerance . At the center of the work is a great music of sorrow including a passacaglia. And I chose this particular very old musical form because war has for centuries accompanied people and always causes suffering and misery. But as I am an optimist a cautiously positive finale should not be missing from my concert.Orchestral Parts are also available for sale! Stimmenmaterial ist ebenfalls käuflich erhältlich!keywords: Trompetenkonzert, trumpet concerto, nie wieder Krieg, no more war, Solidarität mit der Ukraine und allen anderen Opfern von Krieg, solidarity with Ukraine and all other victims of war.

String Quartet String Quartet - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1402959 Composed by Robert A. Howard. 21st Century,Chamber,Classical,Contemporary,Contest,Festival. 95 pages. Robert A. Howard #986178. Published by Robert A. Howard (A0.1402959). This Second String Quartet is in four movements, and runs to over 30 minutes long. The work uses the traditionally expected forms for each movement, as a framework or starting point for departure, but also uses a conceptual title for the work as a whole. In this case 'Locomotion', or the conveying of motion (especially with regards to train travel), was used as a compositional stimulus in creating extended pattern-based textures, as well as the development, or journey, of motifs and themes. Otherwise, there is no particular attempt to evoke the sound of particular modes of transportation, or certain landscapes or scenes. Such imagery is left at the discretion of the listener. Formally, the work begins with a loose sonata form first movement, based around E (modal minor). The second movement, on A, bears the hallmarks of a busy scherzo, while the sentimental slow movement in D minor that follows is based on ground basses, in a ternary form of two varied themes. The extended finale grows out of the previous movement, with a jig-like rondo theme on another ground bass. Contrasting episodes feature modulating material, as well as a secondary theme in C. The final section sees a cyclic return of the first movement's first theme, now at the finale's faster tempo, and in the closing key of G minor. The work as a whole sees much use of canonic, or heterophonic textures, within a broadly minimalist style.  Duration: 32 minutes.Registered with PRS (Performing Rights Society, UK).Composer's website: www.roberthowardmusic.co.uk

Anatoly Zatin #3884227. Published by Anatoly Zatin (A0.909707). Introduction, Theme and Finale from Hexameron, Morceau the Concert S.392, arranged for 6 pianists (2 pianos, 12 hands) by Anatoly Zatin. The present arrangement is to be performed by six pianists on two pianos. The concept is that of a gala concert. The introduction and theme are performed by all six pianists, three on each piano. The following variations can be performed each by one of the participating pianists. The score of the solo version is in public domain and available on various digital libraries for download. To make the concert more dynamic it is suggested that solo pianists alternate between the two pianos, thus minimizing time between variations. The closing finale is again performed by all six players on twopianos.

Chamber Orchestra - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.861944 Composed by Mark O'Connor. 20th Century,Contemporary,Folk. Score and parts. 18 pages. Mark O'Connor Musik International #6208239. Published by Mark O'Connor Musik International (A0.861944). Fiddle Sonata (violin solo part – violin and piano) MO121BViolin Solo Part (piano score available)Music by Mark O’Connor14 pages - 16:00 minutes in length I. IntroductionII. HoedownIII. WaltzIV. Gigue Fiddle Sonata for violin and piano composed by Mark O’Connor was a commission from the Library Of Congress in Washington D.C. It was premiered in Jefferson Hall during the Library’s prestigious ‘97-’98 chamber music season. The Library was featuring piano in the year’s programming and requested O’Connor compose utilizing the instrument. The premier was broadcast on NPR’s Performance Today and was also the centerpiece for a nationally broadcast public radio special, America’s Fiddler, Mark O’Connor at the Library Of Congress. Although O’Connor did not utilize the piano as a back-up instrument in his childhood fiddling contests, it does have a tradition accompanying fiddlers in Scotland, Shetland and Canada. The Sonata begins with Introduction and features a melodic and romantic theme with beautiful chords. Hoedown, in D minor, is very lively and tuneful. The Waltz is a lovely theme that undergoes some insightful development. The finale, Gigue, is a 6/8 dance which is quite a romp and features some fast bow work on a very catchy tune. The music is well suited for advanced and intermediate students.Original music printed from the composer’s manuscripts.Music editing, copying and engraving by Mark O’Connorusing Finale on Apple Macintosh 1997 Composed by Mark O’ConnorCommissioned by the Library Of Congress-Washington D.C. Catalogue Number MO121BCopyright © 1997 by Mark O’Connor Music International For more information on violinist and composer Mark O'Connor, O’Connor String Camps, Touring Ensembles, Discography, Bio, Repertoire and more, please visitwww.markoconnor.com For information on the O’Connor Method – instructional book series for violin, viola, cello and school string orchestra programs:www.oconnormethod.com

Piano,Viola,Violin - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1205111 Composed by Gilad Cohen. Chamber,Classical,Contemporary. 217 pages. Gilad Cohen #803298. Published by Gilad Cohen (A0.1205111). Written with the theme of family in mind, Moonrhymes is based on nursery rhymes from different cultures. The piece is comprised of three movements (, in addition to an introduction and a finale, all played without a break): each of them focuses on a traditional song from a different origin: the English-Irish “Danny Boy,†the Latin “A La Nanita Nana,†and the Israeli-Yiddish “Numi Numi.† While such tunes have been sung as lullabies for many years, their lyrics are often more bleak than what might seem appropriate for bedtime. My treatment of these melodies takes them thus to mysterious, reflective, and dark places, using folk elements from various cultures. Moonrhymes plays with the question of what rhyming could mean in instrumental music.  Literal rhymes feature similarities in sound between words: the endings of rhyming words usually sound identical, while the beginnings are different.  Likewise, the themes of the piece are very similar to the original tunes, but each carries a significant musical difference in pitch, rhythm etc.  Additionally, many moments in the piece “rhyme†with one another:  Accompaniment figurations reoccur while supporting different tunes (such as a repeated arrpegiated minor-7th chord), sounds and textures repeat through the piece (such as “glassy†chordsin the violins using harmonics), and musical themes float again and again into the surface (such as the melody of “Rock-a-bye Baby,†another popular lullaby that features disturbing lyrics and serves as a transition between the movements). In the finale, all tunes—and cultures—join together: The Yiddish-based “Numi Numiâ€, with its Phyrygian mode, is heard in the bass and provides the foundation for “Danny Boy†an its iconic English-American useof the pentatonic scale, while also supporting figurations from both “Nanita†(featuring a highly-embellished minor-scale Spanish melody) and “Rock-a-bye Baby†(whose sweet melody is disguised under darker harmonies).
