The work was released in 1999 on a cd for Sony Classical performed with the London Philharmonic Orchestra titled by its final movement Fanfare for the Volunteer.Call of the Mockingbird;  The evocations of nature and landscape. Carl Ditters von Dittersdorf (1739-1799) drew attention to himself even as a child due to his musical talent: At the age of seven he took violin lessons, only three years later he was hired as a violinist in Vienna and played little solos. His numerous compositions and particularly his 'singspiels' (song-plays) were very popular with the audience: Ditters von Dittersdorf's comedy 'Der Apotheker und der Doktor' even outdid Mozart's 'Le nozze di Figaro' in contemporary popularity in 1786. In 1766 Dittersdorf wrote the Violin Concerto in C major while being in service as leader of a music band in Großwardein, a post he had accepted in succession to Michael Haydn. The solo part was probably played by the composer himself at the first performance. The concerto is a work that is fun to play: A pleasant, particularly concertante Allegro moderato is followed by a playful cantabile Andante and a Presto as virtuoso finale.Das Violinkonzert C-Dur schrieb Dittersdorf im Jahre 1766 in seiner Zeit als Leiter der Musikkapelle in Großwardein, eine Stelle, die er in der Nachfolge von Michael Haydn angetreten hatte. This woodwind quintet, Whirlwind, was written in 2014. Inmany ways, I have taken the Classical form as my model. It is a three movement work in the standard fast-slow-faststructure. I aspire to a venerable tradition, including a rondo like finale that, I would hope, honors Haydn. The first movement isbased on a single lyrical theme that is stated throughout by each member of the ensemble in whole or in part. The secondmovement is a slow ternary form and features long expressive melodic lines. The title has no programmatic implication,rather, it expresses my essential interest in momentum and expressive concision in my musical style.

Cantata 156 was written for the third Sunday after Epiphany in 1729, and was first performed on January 23 of that year. The text is by Picander, one of Bach's favorite librettists. of the four cantatas written by Bach for the feast (72, 73, 111 and 156), it was the last, and the only one scored for solo voice. Like Cantatas 73 and 111, it is a choral cantata, employing a choral melody in several movements. Cantata 156, in fact, employs two different melodies and choral texts in the second and sixth (final) movements, respectively; the second uses Machs mit mir, Gott, nach deiner Güt (Schein, 1628), which Herr, wie du willt, so schicks mit mir (Binemann, 1582) is reserved for the finale. This version of the piece was adapted for B♭ Bass Trumpet along with a piano accompaniment that comes with the product.
