Choral Choir,Choral,TTBB Chorus - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1459447 Composed by Traditional 17th century Scottish tune/Allan Ramsay. Arranged by Scott S. Stewart. A Cappella,Celtic,Classical,Irish,Traditional. 6 pages. Scott S. Stewart #1038399. Published by Scott S. Stewart (A0.1459447). “My Patie is a Lover Gay” was written by the Scottish poet Allan Ramsay as the Finale for his ballad opera The Gentle Shepherd (1725).  As was the custom of ballad opera at that time, he suggested his lyrics were to be sung to the well-known Scottish-English tune “Corn Riggs are Happy” (aka ‘Corn Riggs are Bonny’).  In the spirit of PRIDE month, and updating the setting to the context of now, this is a love song about a shepherd and his lover.  It is arranged for 4-part (gay or inclusive) men’s chorus to be performed a cappella.  Performance time: 2:55+-.

Baritone Recorder,Instrumental Solo,Piano - Level 1 - Digital Download SKU: A0.964387 Composed by Johann Sebastian Bach. Arranged by Leyandder Trustworthy. Baroque,Instructional,Sacred,Standards,World. Score and individual part. 2 pages. Leyandder Trustworthy #6321357. Published by Leyandder Trustworthy (A0.964387). Cantata 156 was written for the third Sunday after Epiphany in 1729, and was first performed on January 23 of that year. The text is by Picander, one of Bach's favorite librettists. of the four cantatas written by Bach for the feast (72, 73, 111 and 156), it was the last, and the only one scored for solo voice. Like Cantatas 73 and 111, it is a choral cantata, employing a choral melody in several movements. Cantata 156, in fact, employs two different melodies and choral texts in the second and sixth (final) movements, respectively; the second uses Machs mit mir, Gott, nach deiner Güt (Schein, 1628), which Herr, wie du willt, so schicks mit mir (Binemann, 1582) is reserved for the finale. This version of the piece was adapted for Bass Recorder along with a piano accompaniment that comes with the product.

Flute,Piano - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.549823 Composed by Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky. Arranged by James M. Guthrie, ASCAP. Children,Christmas,Romantic Period,Standards. Score and part. 48 pages. Jmsgu3 #3547897. Published by jmsgu3 (A0.549823). Duration: 6:12, Score: 29 pages, Solo part: 6 pages, Piano part: 12 pages. This is the grand finale of the Nutcracker Suite. Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky Tchaikovsky is probably the most popular of the great composers in America. His music certainly appeals to musicians. Likewise, it appeals even to folks who don’t normally listen to serious music. This is probably because of his most noteworthy melodies. Above all, he writes with great emotion. This certainly makes a most noteworthy if not an unforgettable impact. Education First of all, He attended classes at the Russian Musical Society. Even more, He also attended the St. Petersburg Conservatory. There he studied music theory with Nikolai Zaremba. He also consequently studied composition with Anton Rubenstein. It seems like Rubenstein came under criticism from a group of Russian composers known as the Five. The Five The Five certainly rejected Western musical influences. They rather sought to use elements from Russian music. They furthermore wanted to use more exotic musical materials. Western Techniques More than other Russian composers, Tchaikovsky studied modern Western music. He certainly develops his music like the European masters. So, rather than repeating a motive, he moves to a new key. He then introduces a different theme in the new key. Hence, he maintained his independence from the Five. Even more, he became the first Russian composer of international stature. Influences Tchaikovsky was probably influenced in his ballet scoring by Léo Delibes. Richard Wagner influenced his symphonic writing. Tchaikovsky’s most famous works include the 1812 Overture, The Nutcracker Suite, and Swan Lake. Also famous are the Violin Concerto in D and the six symphonies. The greatest of the six symphonies may be No. 6, the Pathétique. Nutcracker Suite, Op. 71a The Nutcracker Suite is a ballet that was performed for the first time in December 1892 in St. Petersburg. To begin with, the original ballet failed to attract a positive reception. However, the ballet suite became probably one of the most popular of all of Tchaikovsky’s works. The ballet suite became even more famous in the 1960s. It is now performed all over the world, particularly during the Christmas season.

Brass Ensemble - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.870397 Composed by Giovanni Gabrieli. Arranged by Randy A. Steinberg. Baroque. Score and parts. 31 pages. Randy A. Steinberg #1988451. Published by Randy A. Steinberg (A0.870397). Giovanni Gabrieli was no mere composer. He was an event. The figure at the nexus of many things all coming together in one grand tide. The greatest church in the greatest city of Europe. Freedom of intellectual thought. A Venetian School of composers at the forefront of musical innovation. The printing press and musical publishing. A Doge (Chief Magistrate or Duke) willing to spend, and spend big, on musical pomp and ceremony. A dearth of wealth and money to fund the grandest celebrations. He was the leading Italian composer and organist in Venice at its greatest heights at the chasm between the end of the Renaissance and the beginning of the Baroque period in music. Presented here is a Canzona published around 1615 for 6 brass. A variety of substitute parts are also included to handle the trombone parts with French horns and tubas. A great work that draws from Gabrieli’s many styles. The piece starts with a song like tune that is repeated throughout. Each variation is separated by a 3/4 dance-like chanson repeated throughout. The final cadence is classic Gabrieli with its grand finale. A Gabrieli instrumental ensemble work that provides listeners with a variety of common Gabrieli touches all in one piece without requiring a lot of musical forces.

ISBN 9790570484591.This Intermezzo was composed for the 3rd Annual Sul Ross State University Wind Ensemble Composition, and was selected as a winning entry. It's premier performance was on the 7th of May 2015 at the Marshall Auditorium, Alpine, Texas. With a gracious and slightly nostalgic beginning, the piece builds in energy and pace, leading to a triumphal finale. This piece has an effective and rare combination of flowing lyrical melodies with an almost military-like feeling towards the mid and latter sections; partly inspired by the excitement and power of American marching bands, as the piece was composed for an American University ensemble.

Piano,Violin - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1497156 Composed by Ulrich Lehensteiner. 21st Century,Classical,Contemporary. 57 pages. Ulrich Lehensteiner #1073578. Published by Ulrich Lehensteiner (A0.1497156). A very dark and tumultuous piece of chamber music, with only a few bright moments. The ominously drifting mood of the first movement is only briefly interrupted by the dreamy waltz of the second movement, followed up with an absolute forced march a finale that blasts through from start to finish with the highest energy possible. The virtuosity of the sonata lies not so much in the technically difficult figures, but in maintaining that high level of energy demanded by incessant rhythms and constant fortes throughout the entire piece that is 20 minutes of music.Contains score + violin-part.
