Piano,Vocal,Voice - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1261426 Composed by Thomas Oboe Lee. 20th Century,21st Century,Chamber,Contemporary. Score. 54 pages. Thomas Oboe Lee #854502. Published by Thomas Oboe Lee (A0.1261426). I first came upon Percy Bysshe Shelley's poem translated into Italian by Roberto Ascoli in a chamber work by Ottorino Respighi entitled Il Tramonto. I was so taken by this work for mezzo-soprano and string quartet that I did my own version of the Shelley-Ascoli text for soprano and piano, also called Il Tramonto. In the meanwhile, I found at an antique bookstore online a first edition copy of Poesie di P. B. Shelley (Milano Fratelli Treves, Editori, 1905) with more translations into Italian by Roberto Ascoli. The Italian versions are so much more beautiful than the English that I was compelled to create another song cycle of some of these poems in Italian for soprano and piano. I. Canto II. Versi III. Canto Funebre IV. Su Una Violetta Morta V. Filosofia Dell'Amore VI. A .... VII. A Jane VIII. Frammento.

The tunes can also be played on almost any other treble-clef instrument, such as recorder, tin whistle or violin.

Flute, cello and piano - advanced - Digital Download SKU: S9.Q19831 Edited from the Text of the Carl Maria von Weber Complete Edition. Composed by Carl Maria von Weber. This edition: score and parts. Downloadable, Score and parts. Op. 63. Schott Music - Digital #Q19831. Published by Schott Music - Digital (S9.Q19831). Key: G minor.'These movements are distinguished by a high, bold leap of imagination…', judged a reviewer of the first edition of the Trio. But it is likely that Weber never performed his Trio in public – perhaps an indication for hidden extra-musical 'contents' which Weber was afraid of revealing? One probably cannot completely rule out the possibility that the conflict-ridden courting of the favour of his later wife left its marks in Weber's last chamber music composition….

Violin - advanced - Digital Download SKU: S9.Q7031 In forme of Etudes, in all 24 keys. Composed by Jacques Pierre Joseph Rode. This edition: Sheet music. Essential Exercises. Downloadable. Schott Music - Digital #Q7031. Published by Schott Music - Digital (S9.Q7031). Caprices for solo violin have a long tradition; the list of collections in which virtuoso violinist-composers archived testimonies of their virtuoso violin art ranges from Locatelli to Paganini, from Gaviniès to Dont. Among them is the French violinist Pierre Rode (1774-1839) who added his 24 Capricen in Form einer Etüde für Violine allein to this genre. Even today, they still form part of the indispensable repertoire of violin students, particularly since, notwithstanding the purely technical side, they are also attractive pieces of music. As a teacher at the famous Paris Conservatoire, Rode, together with Pierre Baillot and Rodolphe Kreutzer, laid the foundations for comprehensive violin didactics and methodology: the 24 Caprices are important contributions to this music-educational work. The present new edition is based on the first edition of Paris of 1820, providing the original score, especially two variants of fingering, a 'normal version', and a version specifically designed for small hands. Technical as well as musical challenges make Rode's Caprices a fascinating study and performance object.

2 violins, viola, 2 cellos, violone (double bass), organ, Querflute and bassoon - intermediate to advanced - Digital Download SKU: S9.Q49197 Original version based on Bach's first edition of 1747. Composed by Johann Sebastian Bach. This edition: full score. Downloadable, Full score. Schott Music - Digital #Q49197. Published by Schott Music - Digital (S9.Q49197). The reason for the composition of this work is well-known: Bach's encounter with Frederick the Great and the story of the 'royal theme' which the King of Prussia 'deigned to play' on a pianoforte and which Bach 'was to execute in a fugue'. The sequence of the individual movements of the composition, however, has been uncertain up to now. After an extensive theoretical examination of this problem in his book 'Johann Sebastian Bachs Musicalisches Opfer', the editor now presents his results in the form of a sheet music edition.

Cello Duet Cello - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1156756 Composed by Johann Justus Friedrich Dotzauer. Arranged by Michele Galvagno. 19th Century,Chamber,Instructional,Romantic Period,Traditional. Score. 44 pages. Artistic Score Engraving di Galvagno Michele #757087. Published by Artistic Score Engraving di Galvagno Michele (A0.1156756). The Russian Air with Twenty Variations for Cello Solo, accompanied by a Second Cello, Op. 32, by J. J. F. Dotzauer (1783—1860), was composed and published around 1815. It is one of the many set of variations written upon the theme “Їхав козак за Дунай†(“The Cossack rode beyond the Danubeâ€) during the second decade of the XIX century, others including those by Beethoven and Hummel. Despite the title, the theme is of Ukrainian origin but, at the time of its diffusion in Europe, under a German disguise, the region that is now Ukraine was part of the Russian Empire. The language of the text makes its origin unmistakable today. After a fascinating slow Introduction, the theme comes and is followed by twenty variations, most of which requiring great virtuosity. This is a concert piece, lasting anywhere between 14 and 24 minutes according to whether repeats will be played or not. An outstanding variety of techniques is employed, making this a true challenge for even the most gifted players. This edition is based on the oldest surviving source, the first edition by Friedrich Hofmeister. It corrects the most glaring mistakes, and adds notes where ambiguity arises. This edition is dedicated to Yuriy Leonovich.
