Choral Choir,Choral (SATB) - Level 3 - Digital Download

SKU: A0.918907

By Jubal's Lyre Music. By Anonymous. Arranged by Martin Dicke. A Cappella,Advent,Christian,Christmas,Holiday. 18 pages. Jubal's Lyre Music Publishers #6623403. Published by Jubal's Lyre Music Publishers (A0.918907).

Your choir will enjoy this inventive and stirring setting of the great Advent/Christmas hymn O Come, O Come Emmanuel (VENI EMMANUEL). Besides the choral score, notes and a separate keyboard part are included. A Latin edition is also available. Composed in a Neo-Renaissance style, it sets all seven verses modulating into four keys while passing the melody from voice to voice before concluding with sudden and surprising key changes that lead to a powerful cadence on the altered note of the Picardy third. It may be performed acapella, with keyboard, or with instruments. The instrumental parts are published separately as Fantasia on O Come, O Come Emmanuel in the following editions: String Quartet, String Ensemble, and Woodwind Quintet. This motet is the first of Three Motets on Latin Christmas Hymns. The other two motets are Of the Father’s Love Begotten (CORDE NATUS EX PARENTIS) and O Come, All Ye Faithful (ADESTE FIDELIS), both available in English or Latin. For more music and information visit www.jubalslyre.com/music.

The publication contains both German and English texts as well as Mr. Shaw's meticulous markings for performance in either language. This beautiful setting would be appropriate for Communion, Lent, or at any time during the church year.

By Antonio Meneses. By Carlo Alfredo Piatti. Arranged by Antonio Meneses & Michele Galvagno. 19th Century,Classical,Instructional,Opera,Romantic Period. Individual part. 34 pages. Artistic Score Engraving di Galvagno Michele #849122. Published by Artistic Score Engraving di Galvagno Michele (A0.1255610).

Carlo Alfredo Piatti composed only one more piece for cello solo, besides the Twelve Caprices, Op. 25, the Capriccio sopra un tema della Niobe di Pacini, Op. 22, published in 1864, but apparently performed for the first time in 1843 in Budapest.

This edition thoroughly researches the surviving sources and the history behind the opera theme (an investigation on its own) and provides a modern, clean, and easy-to-play-from format for this 10-minutes-long virtuoso piece.

The extra cello part is edited by Maestro Antonio Meneses after his outstanding recording in the CD “Capricciosoâ€, marking the start of a new great collaboration for our editions.

Composed by Chris Lawry, Keri Degg. Christmas,Jazz. Score and part. 7 pages. Masquerade Music #6078611. Published by Masquerade Music (A0.761530).

Ukrainian Folk Carol (often known by another name however) for Bb Clarinet and piano (or use the enhanced FREE demo/backing tracks via request after ordering - details are given on your printed sheet music) by UK composers Chris Lawry and Keri Degg.

New for September 2020 this is a very fresh take on this traditional classic and has been launched into a crazy swing/groove style! It's a great showstopper and a real joy to play. The piece includes playful interplay and new original material/written solo/s.

Ukrainian Folk Carol is just one of five pieces from 'Christmas Jazz - Volume 2' Clarinet edition (also available in Bb sax, Eb sax and Flute editions) which also includes; Deck the halls (Piazzolla-inspired style), The Holly and the Ivy - a smooshy smooth jazz ballad with original solo/s, Away in a manger - again, a gentle smooth jazz style, and O Holy Night (which has cheeky interplay, yet sweeping original lines too). All the pieces are aimed at early intermediate-confident intermediate level (typical UK exam grades from grade 4-6) so are achievable by most players (and don't take weeks and weeks of preparation; very important at the busy festive time!).

There is also a 'Christmas Jazz - Volume 1' collection by the same composers (which includes; God rest ye merry gentlemen, Silent night, The first nowell, Hark the herald, and I saw three ships - all of which are available on SMP, or search for Christmas Jazz volume 1 if you'd like to buy the collection at a bargain price).

The demonstration and backing tracks feature enhanced audio (not just piano) and sound like the MP3 audio and Youtube video on this item listing, so you'll get the full experience! :D

Composed by Anonymous, Claude Gervaise, Claudin de Sermisy, Erasmus Widmann, Giorgio Mainerio, Henry VIII, John Dowland, Juan Del Encina, Michael Praetorius, Pierre Attaignant, Pierre Certon, Pierre Phalese, Thoinot Arbeau, and Tielman Susato. Arranged by Alastair Lodge. Chamber,Early Music,Renaissance. 93 pages. Wold Meridian #993504. Published by Wold Meridian (A0.1411172).

A selection of 44 Dance Consort pieces from publications dating from 1500 to 1620 in three, four or five part scores and fully chorded with lyrics

Renaissance Dance music provides some of the most simple yet satisfying pieces to play in ensemble on a wide range of instruments.  They are suitable for recorders, modern strings, woodwinds or brass, or where available, reproductions of 16th century instruments, such as crumhorns, viols or shawms to name but a few.

The 44 pieces that first  appeared in the publication Chording to the Dance Masters, are  presented in full score and with separate parts for each of the lines.  What is more, a number of the pieces have been re-edited to include their lyrics, should you wish to perform them vocally.  They represent some of the best known secular pieces of the Renaissance repertoire.

What makes this Wold Meridian edition of these pieces different  from others is that they have been created to make performing them as accessible as possible.  Chords have been provided so that the piece can be played with just the melody line and a simple accompaniment.  It also means that keyboard players or fretted strings can join in with ensembles, giving extra sparkle to performances.

Each piece can be heard in a video on YouTube with illustrations and historical background information.  Even more helpful for players who are less experienced in reading harmony lines, there is a YouTube video link featuring each part, where it is heard initially on its own with the chords, on repeats with the melody line added and finally together with all the parts in the whole ensemble.  If you have not had the pleasure of playing in consort with other people, you could not do better than start with these Wold Meridian editions.

By Stephen R Dalrymple. By Felix Bartholdy Mendelssohn. Arranged by edited by Stephen R Dalrymple (Dalrymple Designs). Romantic Period. Individual part. 18 pages. Stephen R Dalrymple #5322361. Published by Stephen R Dalrymple (A0.818306).

Songs Without Words: Agitation by Felix Mendelssohn for piano solo (Classical Music for Tablet Series) ♫ Edited for 10 inch tablet by Stephen R Dalrymple ♫ Jakob Ludwig Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy wrote a series of 49 lyrical compositions for piano solo between 1829 and 1845 within the structure of the art song form. Mendelssohn discouraged his followers from attempting to find text to fit these pieces. He wanted the melodies to speak for themselves. Only a few of them were titled by Mendelssohn; most of the titles came from publishers of later editions. ♫ Opus 53 Number 3 ♫ The Classical Music for Tablet Series offers piano masterworks by classical composers formatted to be read on 10 inch tablets. I use an Amazon Kindle with Mobile Sheets Pro and an Air Turn blue tooth foot pedal to practice and perform piano music. Similar products available to provide other tablets the same functionality. ♫ The pieces in this series have not been arranged, but most have been edited slightly, and have been formatted to fit screen size. For example, in the tablet versions, first and second endings are often removed and the repeated measures and endings written into the music so the performer can avoid having to go back to previous pages. These kinds of section repeats were invented to spare the composer’s time and the cost of extra paper and ink. But with a tablet the cost of paper and ink is irrelevant. ♫ Although there are a lot more page turns with a 10 inch screen compared with letter size pages, the readability of the music (due to the backlighting on the tablet) and the portability of the music (travelling with a small tablet instead of oversized books or portfolios of sheet music) easily makes up for the extra page turns. ♫ Your purchase provides one .pdf file that contains both the tablet edition and the letter size page (printable) version. There are several programs available online that will allow you to separate this .pdf file into 2 .pdf files to make it more useful.

Composed by Franz Anton Hoffmeister. Arranged by Richard A. Evans. Classical,Contest,Festival,Instructional,Wedding. Score. 11 pages. Richard A. Evans #353272. Published by Richard A. Evans (A0.745263).

Written in the latter part of the 18th century, the Sonata in Bb Major Op. 1 #5 by Franz Anton Hoffmeister is an excellent example of Classical era style. Unlike his contemporaries Mozart and Haydn, Hoffmeister wrote extensively for the flute which was a popular instrument among amateur musicians. This sonata comes from his first published set of flute duets and was edited from an 18th century edition found in the Library of Congress. No modern editions are known to exist to the editor. The piece gives both performers a chance to play both melody and accompaniment parts. The work is in three movements-Allegro, Poco Adagio and rondo-Allergo, and is accessable to intermediate to advanced player.
