It's a bargain price too! These arrangements are intended either as stand-alone pieces that could be used as interludes in a service, or they could be used to accompany solo, choral or congregational singing. The publication consists of a four-staff score in concert pitch together with fifteen separate parts in various transpositions plus a simplified optional keyboard part. The left hand plays only the bass part most of the time, with the right hand part kept as simple as possible. These four-part arrangements use flexible instrumentation so that you can exercise considerable control over the instrumental voicing or use them for non-standard ensembles. You can also create interesting instrumental tone color by omitting groups of instruments. If the ensemble is large enough you could omit brass instruments in the quieter sections, or use a solo trumpet against a woodwind background. There are endless possibilities.The complete set includes: Part 1 in B flat, E flat and C; Part 2 in B flat, E flat and C; Part 3 in B flat, E flat, F and C and Part 4 in B flat, E flat and C. Parts 1 and 2 in C have been printed an octave higher than the pitch shown in the score because invariably the parts lie too low for flute or oboe. For elementary players, a Part 1 in C (low) is included at concert (score) pitch. Parts 3 and 4 in C are in the bass clef. The arrangements could be played by virtually any combination of conventional wind band instruments. Using the optional keyboard part they could also be used as solos, duets or trios. Much of Adele's improvisation at the end of the track is captured here, unlike some other published editions.The Guitar part is straightforward, though the first beat is often written to come early - at the back of the previous bar or measure. A Capo is required at the fifth fret, but this makes the part much easier on the fingers.The metronome mark is close to the speed of the original, but as an instrumental, it also works if you go a little slower, especially if it makes for a tighter performance.The parts are laid out with extra sample pages at the front so that you can preview some of each part and some of the full score on screen before purchase. Bach  bwv 1029   This beautiful sonata (which could easily have been another Brandenburg concerto if Bach had chosen to orchestrate it)  is too good to be just for violists and cellists. So here’s an arrangement in the Treble clef, which can be played  by FLUTE, or VIOLIN, or SAX, or OBOE, or GUITAR instead of the original solo part in the viola clef.  Also,  the key has been transposed from G minor to A minor.  Except for 2 measures in the first movement it is all playable without any octave jumps.  (those 2 measures have the higher octave alternative written above the original for the wind instruments that can’t go down to A.) The accompanying keyboard part is available in many print editions and also can be downloaded from public domain sites like IMSLP. The music represents the symbolism and feeling behind the High Priestess card, with keywords of strength, adaptability, seriousness, intuition, loving understanding, knowledge, introspection, and self-trust. Each instrument is featured throughout, as the main melody and distinct rhythms are traded and dovetailed around the ensemble. The piece begins with a feeling of watery calm (e.g. Venetian Boat songs), ascends to a hopeful journey, moves through tense trials, then returning back to the distant flute melody, followed by a piano “solo� that ultimately inspired this chamber work in the first place. This work is great for high school, collegiate, amateur, or professional ensembles, as well as very advanced young chamber players looking for something new and fresh. I recommend the horn player be seated on the outside, so as not to cover up the flute.
