Piano Solo - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.748676 Composed by F Chopin. Arranged by Mark Reeves. Film/TV,Instructional,Romantic Period,Wedding. Score. 4 pages. Mark Reeves #3511899. Published by Mark Reeves (A0.748676). Etude Op. 10 No. 3 in E MajorOne of the best known pieces of music by Frederic Chopin is now available here without its more technically-challenging middle section. In this form, the main theme (and most familiar part) can be played by less-advanced pianists either as a recital piece or as wedding ceremony music. The layout is much improved from the standard versions available, making it much clearer and therefore easier to read and interpret. Fingering has been included, based upon that of Karol Mikuli, which itself was derived from Chopin's actual fingering, albeit absent from the first published editions.About the ArrangerMark Reeves is a professional pianist, piano teacher and music arranger, with many years of experience.  More of his arrangements for piano, choir and other instruments can be downloaded here: http://www.sheetmusicplus.com/publishers/Mark-Reeves/1850  For further information email: info@markreeves.co.uk or follow Mark on Twitter @MarkReeves001 .

Flute,Horn,Piano,Violin - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1257964 Composed by JohnWillard Utuk. Chamber,Contemporary,Film/TV,New Age,Video Game. 23 pages. JohnWillard Utuk #851201. Published by JohnWillard Utuk (A0.1257964). The High Priestess is a chamber work for mixed instrumentation, including an F Horn with piano, violin, and flute. This piece is inspired by the artwork of the traditional Rider-Waite-Smith tarot deck, specifically the less credited illustrator of the world famous deck, Pamela Colman Smith. The music represents the symbolism and feeling behind the High Priestess card, with keywords of strength, adaptability, seriousness, intuition, loving understanding, knowledge, introspection, and self-trust. Each instrument is featured throughout, as the main melody and distinct rhythms are traded and dovetailed around the ensemble. The piece begins with a feeling of watery calm (e.g. Venetian Boat songs), ascends to a hopeful journey, moves through tense trials, then returning back to the distant flute melody, followed by a piano “solo†that ultimately inspired this chamber work in the first place. This work is great for high school, collegiate, amateur, or professional ensembles, as well as very advanced young chamber players looking for something new and fresh. Rhythms are simple, while expression and musicality can be explored. In performance, be mindful of balance issues, so seating arrangement can be adjusted. I recommend the horn player be seated on the outside, so as not to cover up the flute. Average performance time: ca. 4:30Other instrumentations are in progress, so please check back for updated editions. The original instrumentation involved the oboe and cello. There is also another version with trombone substituting the F horn. Please leave a review here below and reach out via my website listed in the score for any feedback or questions. Oboe,Piano - Level 1 - Digital Download SKU: A0.548478 Composed by Mueller. Arranged by James M. Guthrie, ASCAP. Christian,Christmas. Score and part. 3 pages. Jmsgu3 #3386539. Published by jmsgu3 (A0.548478). Traditional Christmas song arranged for Oboe & Piano. Third verse features new harmony. Score: 2 pg. Part: 1 pg.Away in a Manger Away in a Manger is a popular Christmas song published originally sometime in the later 19th century and performed throughout the world. In England, it is considered one of the two most popular carols of all time; a 1996 poll ranked it as a tie for second place. To begin with, many thought it was written by Martin Luther, but now the song is considered to be absolutely American. The most common musical arrangements are by William Kirkpatrick (1895) and James R. Murray (1887). The melody was first published, as Luther's Cradle Hymn, by James R. Murray. Then, came a confusing series of explanations about how Martin Luther wrote the song. Murray even went so far as to suggest that Luther wrote it for his children. As a result, the song has become known as simply Mueller. Nobody knows who this Mueller actually is, but the name stuck. Popularity By the 1880’s the cradle song was being performed in church. By the 1990’s the song was becoming the most popular Christmas song of all time. It was sung in school, in church, and at home by nearly everyone. Other musical settings The first musical setting published with the lyrics appeared in the Little Children's Book for Schools and Families (1885). The title was Away in a Manger. This edition is the first one not to attribute the song to Martin Luther.   Charles H. Gabriel was the first arranger to present the third verse. He also composed and published a large number of different arrangements of the song. In one of his settings, he supplies a chorus for each verse with asleep sung in canon. Another prevalent preparation uses the lyrics to the melody Flow Gently, Sweet Afton. Yet another arrangement dating uses the lyrics to an old Normandy Carol.  Register for free lifetime updates and revisions of this product at www.jamesguthrie.com

Choral Choir (4-Part) - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.882467 Composed by Ludwig van Beethoven. Arranged by Matthijs van der Moolen. Christian,Classical,Contemporary,Romantic Period. Octavo. 18 pages. Matthijs van der Moolen #566711. Published by Matthijs van der Moolen (A0.882467). These ‘Three Equali’ are amongst the few pieces that were written for trombone ensemble by a well- known composer, and therefor they are very important pieces for the trombone repertoire. This particular edition is different from the ones that most trombone players know. First of all, it contains a score for male choir. And secondly, it is transposed a major second down. The reason for this is that the original version is too high for the male voices. The version for male choir was added to the first and the last movement by Ignaz Seyfried, a friend of Beethoven. To make the words fit to the music, he had to be quite free with interpreting the rhythmical structure that Beethoven composed. It is debatable if the vocal and instrumental version should be performed all together or alternating with each other. According to the notes about Beethoven’s funeral (where the first and last movement were performed), the voices and instruments were alternating during this performance. The second movement was performed on a later moment, but the link between the instrumental version (with text by Frans Grillparzer) was not made. I have taken the freedom to put these two together in this score, and transposed it one major second down to make it fit smoothly in between the other two movements. The first and last movement also contained a text in Latin, but since the second movement was only available in German, I also used the German texts for the other movements.

String Quartet Cello,String Quartet,Viola,Violin - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1197314 Composed by Justus Johann Friedrich Dotzauer. Arranged by Michele Galvagno. 19th Century,Chamber,Classical,Instructional,Romantic Period. 164 pages. Artistic Score Engraving di Galvagno Michele #796478. Published by Artistic Score Engraving di Galvagno Michele (A0.1197314). Dotzauer’s first attempt at a major form of chamber music comes in 1810, with his Op. 12. This is a couple of quartets for two violins, viola, and violoncello obbligato. One may think these are ordinary string quartets, where the first violin has all the fun and the other three players share the remaining bits, but one would be gravely mistaken. The clue for this is the dedication by Dotzauer to his teacher, Bernhard Romberg. Then we have the word “obbligato†marking the prominence of the cello part over the others. They are entertaining pieces, about 25-minutes-long each, in four movements, and similar to Haydn in style. These are the first two of Dotzauer’s generous production of string quartets (more than twenty!). The first is in E-flat major, while the second is in G minor, a curious choice for sure. This edition comes in digital and print, both including the same material, a score and a set of four parts.

Published by Musik Fabrik Music Publishing (A0.533318). Première Sonate pour piano et violonI. ModéréII. Assez lentIII. AniméIV. Bien allant, mais d'expression tranquilleJacques Leguerney began the composition of his First Sonata for Piano and Violin in 1926, shortly after beginning composition studies with Nadia Boulanger. She was reportedly quite enthusiastic about the natural talent of her new student, and offered to give him private lessons to supplement her analysis classes. Leguerney was already reticent about studying composition. In an interview in 1989, he remembered his feeling at that time, saying that I found that this was useless work. If one is gifted for music, one is capable of writing harmonies. instead, Leguerney showed his Sonata to the French composer Albert Roussel, who was renting an apartment on Avenue Wagram in a building next to that of the Leguerney family. Leguerneyremembered Roussel's apartment with its dark blue walls and gilded Indian statues! Roussel encouraged his efforts and said of the second theme of the first movement: I would have liked to have written that. (J'aurais été très content d'avoir écrit ça.)The first performance of the Sonata was given by the pianist Thérèse Cahen (1897-1944) and the violinist Hortense de Sampigny (? – 1970) in a private concert. The violinist was already a well-known concert artist. De Sampigny finished her studies at the Paris Conservatory in 1915, where she was in the class of Jules Boucherit. In 1918 she married the French author Auguste Bailly (1878-1967). From 1921, she was a member of the Trio Trillat, founded by the pianist Ennemond Trillat with the collaboration of cellist Jean Witkowski. The Trio was active in concerts and recordings in France and abroad for about thirty years. De Sampigny later taught at the Conservatory as assistant to René Benedetti. Thérèse Cahen had studied piano, harmony and counterpoint at the Schola Cantorum, where she obtained a Second Prize. She was a faithful friend and muse for Leguerney, and recruited many musicians for first performances of his vocal and chamber works. She was deported to Auschwitz on July 31, 1944, a few weeks before the Liberation of Paris. This edition of the Sonata was performed at a private concert in Vernon (France) in July 2011 by French violinist Marion Larigaudrie and pianist Mary Dibbern.  It is based upon the autograph manuscript OL 23, on deposit at the Music Department of the Bibliothèque national in Paris.

Small Ensemble Cello,English Horn,Oboe,Viola,Violin - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.828699 Composed by Karl Friedrich Abel. Arranged by Guido Menestrina. Classical. Score and parts. 37 pages. Guido Menestrina #119775. Published by Guido Menestrina (A0.828699). Karl Friedrich Abel - Sinfonia Op. 7 n. 1 - Primo Movimento - Allegro Karl Friedrich Abel - Symphony Op. 7 n. 1 - First Movement - Allegro Edited by Guido Menestrina - Full score and single parts for 2 oboe, 2 F Horns (originally cor de chasse), 2 violins, viola and cello (originally basse de violon). Abel was born in Köthen,[3][4] a small German city, where his father, Christian Ferdinand Abel, had worked for years as the principal viola da gamba and cello player in the court orchestra. In 1723 Abel senior became director of the orchestra, when the previous director, Johann Sebastian Bach moved to Leipzig. The young Abel later boarded at Leipzig's Thomasschule, where he was taught by Bach. On Bach's recommendation in 1743 he was able to join Johann Adolph Hasse's court orchestra at Dresden where he remained for fifteen years.[3][5] In 1759 (or 1758 according to Chambers),[1] he went to England and became chamber-musician to Queen Charlotte, in 1764.[3][5] He gave a concert of his own compositions in London, performing on various instruments, one of which was a five-string cello known as a pentachord, which had been recently invented by John Joseph Merlin.[6] In 1762, Johann Christian Bach, the eleventh son of J.S. Bach, joined him in London, and the friendship between him and Abel led, in 1764 or 1765, to the establishment of the famous Bach-Abel concerts, England's first subscription concerts. In those concerts, many celebrated guest artists appeared, and many works of Haydn received their first English performance. For ten years the concerts were organized by Mrs. Theresa Cornelys, a retired Venetian opera singer who owned a concert hall at Carlisle House in Soho Square, then the height of fashionable events. In 1775 the concerts became independent of her, to be continued by Abel and Bach until Bach's death in 1782. Abel still remained in great demand as a player on various instruments new and old. He traveled to Germany and France between 1782 and 1785, and upon his return to London, became a leading member of the Grand Professional Concerts at the Hanover Square Rooms in Soho. Throughout his life he had enjoyed excessive living, and his drinking probably hastened his death, which occurred in London on 20 June 1787.[citation needed] One of Abel's works became famous due to a misattribution: in the 19th century, a manuscript symphony in the hand of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, was catalogued as his Symphony no. 3 in E flat, K. 18, and was published as such in the first complete edition of Mozart's works by Breitkopf & Härtel. Later, it was discovered that this symphony was actually the work of Abel, copied by the boy Mozart-evidently for study purposes-while he was visiting London in 1764. That symphony was originally published as the concluding work in Abel's Six Symphonies, Op. 7. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bN3mtmg-rLI.
