Based on the opening verse of psalm 130, and freely composed using a 12 note scale, and brilliantly performed here by Carson Cooman. To help understand the structure of the piece, the 12 note row is seen in the first three measures and you can see how that pattern works throughout the piece. The angular melodic material combined with the dramatic cluster chords paints a vivid picture of 'the Deep'. While this music would sound well on a larger instrument, this music can easily be performed on a two manual organ with pedals.
