My latest composition, for a choir of 5 piano-like instruments, orchestrated together, in a rousing piece that (strangely for me) makes you want to dance!  Scored for Celesta, Choir Pad Synthesizer, Harpsichord, Electric Piano, and Acoustic Piano.  It can be performed using five 61-key synthesizers.  To play the accented notes on the Harpsichord part, requires a MIDI synthesizer.  .

A five-minute wind quartet with a mostly tonal/melodic style and a propulsive rhythm, influenced a little by 70s progressive rock.  The main challenges are sections in 5/4 and 6/4 with triplet figures and trills, but no extended techniques.

The six sonatas by Benedetto Marcello (1686-1739) are among the best-known baroque compositions for violoncello and basso continuo, second only to those by Antonio Vivaldi. Marcello was a famous composer during his lifetime, and consequently his collection could be found in printed editions in the major European music metropolises of London, Paris and Amsterdam. Even if there is some uncomfortable fingering in these sonatas - which might be due to Marcello's working with a five-string cello with an added E' string - they are of only moderate difficulty and belong to the standard works of the violoncello teaching literature.

The Easy Winners was one of many solo piano rags written by Scott Joplin. Published in 1901, It is considered to be one of Joplin’s finest and most adventurous works. Indeed the complex harmony made the first publisher so nervous that he only released a simplified version. The Easy Winners refers to elite athletes who featured on the original title page. 

This arrangement of The Easy Winners is arranged as a duet for two Clarinets. Musicians at an intermediate level and above will find this ideal for formal and informal performances. The overall performance time, with repeats, is between four and five minutes. Teachers will enjoy using this arrangement as a fun way to help with phrasing, syncopated rhythms and light articulation.

TECTONIC Sax Quartet (Sop, Alt, Ten, Bar).  

This work depicts aspects of plate tectonics. Five musical movements: 'CREEPING PLATES: very slow and ponderous music and foreboding 12-note serial progressions. HOT VENT GASES depicts the toxic bubbles rising from the ocean floor. VENT LIFE represents the weird worms, microrganisms, crabs and fish which survive there. VOLCANO  music describes explosions, falling boulders and terror, and finally mourns the loss of life, devastated landscape and villages. EARTHQUAKE:  the music tries to depict the swaying effect and noise, falling bricks and running feet. More mourning.  Pure 12-note serial:  but you need not tell THEM that.
