Despite the absence of tonal gravity, Scriabin assigns a pitch-center to his pieces, redefining tonal orientation through the primary transposition of the Mystic Chord. These preludes, composed in 1914 before he died in 1915, showcase Scriabin's mastery of harmonies and his departure from traditional tonalities.
