Lili Boulanger, the first woman to win the Prix de Rome, influenced by Debussy’s compositional approach, composed the powerful and dramatic Psalm 24 in 1916 for chorus, brass, and organ, now arranged for brass choir with impassioned, contrasting sections of thrilling boldness and calm serenity.
