Juno Award winner, Hugh Hagood Hardy, CM, spent his early musical life in bebop jam sessions.  Ultimately, he would become a composer, pianist, and percussionist (vibraphone), focussing mainly on jazz and easy listening music.His 1975 single The Homecoming reached number 6 on the US easy listening charts, 41 on the US pop charts, and certified Gold in Canada, reaching number one on the Adult Contemporary chart.  The soothing melody was well suited as the jingle for the Salada Tea commercial in 1972.  It is still a charming selection today, being both subtle and simple-an excellent choice for a moment of repose in any program. Scored for the smaller British Brass Band with a minimum of 9 parts (11 players) up to a full band.  Duration ~ 2:45.  27 pages.
