Piano Solo - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.790209 Composed by Francois Couperin. Arranged by Diamond S Music. Baroque. Score. 12 pages. Diamond S Music #5853965. Published by Diamond S Music (A0.790209). Les Bergeries (Pastoral - Rondeau) - François Couperin - Piano Solo. This is the very popular baroque Harpsichord masterpiece, Les Bergeries. It was a beloved piece of the Bach household and Anna Magdalena Bach copied it into her famous music Notebook from 1725. The piece contains many flourishes and trills that are so idiomatic of the harpsichord yet still sound beautiful  played on a piano. Also included in this edition is a short biography of composer François Couperin.  26 of the keyboard pieces found in the 1725 Notebook for Anna Magdalena Bach can also be purchased here on sheetmusicplus: (S0.819079) Other similar arrangements and selections from DIAMOND S MUSIC available at: https://www.sheetmusicplus.com/publishers/diamond-s-music/6940

Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.650930 Composed by Maurice Ravel. Arranged by Ray Thompson. 20th Century,Baroque. 22 pages. RayThompsonMusic #260018. Published by RayThompsonMusic (A0.650930). Le Tombeau de Couperin is a suite for solo piano by Maurice Ravel, composed between 1914 and 1917. The piece is in six movements, based on those of a traditional Baroque suite. Each movement is dedicated to the memory of a friend of the composer (or in one case, two brothers) who had died fighting in World War I. Ravel also produced an orchestral version of the work in 1919, although this omitted two of the original movements. The word tombeau in the title is a musical term popular from the 17th century, meaning a piece written as a memorial. The specific Couperin, among a family noted as musicians for about two centuries, that Ravel intended to evoke is thought to be François Couperin the Great (1668–1733). Ravel stated that his intention was to pay homage more generally to the sensibilities of the Baroque French keyboard suite, not necessarily to imitate or pay tribute to Couperin himself in particular. This is reflected in the piece's structure, which imitates a Baroque dance suite.Arranged Double wind quintet/Bass 2nd Oboe has some bars of Cor Anglais .!st Clarinet in Bb has a section for Clarinet in A. This is my arrangement of No.IV Rigaudon in the orchestral suite for wind dectet.
