The current edition omits those passages and, as a result, noticeably reduces the page count. I accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior in my teens, but had always had Him in my heart as a child. My relationship didn’t grow for years because I don’t think I was being fed spiritually. It took a long time to begin that growth toward a personal relationship with Christ. I had lots of people help me along the way. A major influence on me was a student who was more spiritually mature in her teens than I have been all of my adult life. Allie, this song is for you.
