Viola and basso continuo - intermediate - Digital Download SKU: S9.Q21247 Viola arrangement and figured bass by Wolfgang Birtel. Composed by Georg Philipp Telemann. Arranged by Wolfgang Birtel. This edition: score and parts. Downloadable, Score and parts. Schott Music - Digital #Q21247. Published by Schott Music - Digital (S9.Q21247). Georg Philipp Telemann's '6 Sonatinas for Viola and Basso Continuo' make a major standard work for violin available for the viola. At the federal competition 'Jugend musiziert', they have long since become an inherent part of the repertoire list for string instruments. The original cycle 'Sei Suonatine per Violino e Cembalo' dates back to 1718. This volume is based on the original edition. The viola part has been prepared for practical use. Being classic examples of the 'mixed taste', the sonatinas superbly combine Italian and French stylistic elements.

String Orchestra - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1150279 Composed by Georg Philipp Telemann. Arranged by Andrew McInnes. Baroque,Classical. Score and parts. 38 pages. Janus Editions #750447. Published by Janus Editions (A0.1150279). This Sonata for Viola & String Orchestra offers approachable virtuosity for the soloist, as well as appropriately scaled difficulty for the orchestra. Georg Philipp Telemann loved the viola, but sadly we have only two of his concerti for the instrument. Overall, there is very little solo material from the Baroque epoch written for viola. This Sonata was originally for viol de gamba and keyboard, TWV 41:a6. It is much transcribed for viola and keyboard, but previous to this, not for viola and string orchestra.

String Quartet Cello,String Quartet - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.723161 Composed by Georg Philipp Telemann. Arranged by Joel Jacklich (ASCAP). Baroque,Concert. Score and parts. 35 pages. Joel Jacklich #5707489. Published by Joel Jacklich (A0.723161). Georg Philipp Telemann wrote four concerti for four unaccompanied violins: TWV40:201-204.  This is an arrangement for four celli of the fourth concerto in A Major, changed from its original key of A major to D Major to allow for the same string crossings and changes as in the violin version but for the configuration of the cello. Whereas the original violin version is of intermediate to advanced intermediate difficulty, this version for celli is listed as advanced because of the double-stops in the first movement. .

String Quartet Cello,String Quartet - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.723157 Composed by Georg Philipp Telemann. Arranged by Joel Jacklich (ASCAP). Baroque,Concert. Score and parts. 19 pages. Joel Jacklich #5363175. Published by Joel Jacklich (A0.723157). Georg Philipp Telemann wrote four concerti for four violins unaccompanied, his TWV 40:201-204.  Here is the first concerto in G major arranged for four violoncelli by Joel Jacklich (A.S.C.A.P.).  This arrangement is an octave below the original violin work.  Taking the key down an octave and a fifth to accommodate the same parallel open strings as the violins made the range too low (very playable; however, very muddy).  Therefore, I have used the same key as the violin, taking it down only an octave.  This gives a much more pleasing sound, but makes the upper range notes much more difficult, going up to a D5, requiring the use of tenor and treble clefs.  It is therefore listed as an advanced piece.
