Instrumental Duet Instrumental Duet,Organ,Trombone - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.844667 Composed by Jeno Hubay. Arranged by Phil Beaman. Romantic Period,Standards,Wedding. Score and parts. 4 pages. Phil Beaman #4897191. Published by Phil Beaman (A0.844667). Maggiolata is the Italian name of an ancient Spring Festival celebrated on May 1st, hence the subtitle Song of May. Jeno Hubay, Head of the Violin Dept at the Budapest Academy of Music, wrote this piece to be as light and celebratory as a perfect spring day. My arrangement abridges and slightly simplifies this classical standard. I reduced it from 6 1/2 minutes to 2 1/2 minutes by focusing on the recapitulation of the main theme but also included opening and closing cadenzas. Most of the expression markings are my own additions. I have scored it as an Instrumental Solo with an Organ accompaniment but a Piano accompaniment could be easily adapted from this. This arrangement, with an octave and a half solo range, is easy enough to be accessible for most players and its beautiful melody will have you singing and longing for spring.  3 page score, 1 page part5:00 minutes with repeatrecording is Violin and piano version

Really Good Music, LLC. #4596855. Published by Really Good Music, LLC. (A0.868814). Sento un raggio di vago diletto is an aria from Solo cantata X Bellissima Dorsibe, written by the eminent Italian composer Francesco CAVALLI (1602 – 1676). The realization of the aria for voice and piano, made by Sergei Pichugin, is based on the manuscript, including twelve of Cavalli’s cantatas for voice solo and basso continuo. The aria may be an invaluable addition to the repertoire of vocal teachers and students. It is available in the key of G major (D4 – E5) for low voice.

Baritone Horn TC,Vocal Solo,Voice - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.981205 Composed by Judith Cloud. Contemporary,Standards. 4 pages. Judith Cloud #6686583. Published by Judith Cloud (A0.981205). 24 Italian Songs and Arias for 21st-Century Singers, No. 3 Come raggio di sol The iconic Italian songs have served as the foundation for countless singers for over a hundred years.  My settings are an accessible alternative and will provide teachers with new tools for their students’ technical and musical advancement.  They offer a welcome change both melodically and harmonically and many have a limited range with a comfortable tessitura. Most of the songs are brief, lasting around two minutes.  Another attractive feature is the inclusion of a literal English translation directly above the Italian.  I believe these songs will be successful for auditions and in recital settings, both informal and formal.  My hope is that over time, these 24 Italian Songs and Arias for 21st Century Singers will take their place beside the originals for the establishment of a solid vocal technique.

Brass Ensemble - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.726434 Composed by Kenneth Baird. Christmas,Contemporary,Standards. Score and parts. 21 pages. Kenneth Baird Music #6087407. Published by Kenneth Baird Music (A0.726434). A rousing fanfare for brass choir that is perfect for opening formal occasions or for providing an exciting and uplifting start to any concert, Gabriel’s Legion by Kenneth Baird is set in a bold symphonic style and in 6/8 meter. This brief fanfare is not heavy on finger technique but demands clear articulate playing and resonant tone by all. Originally composed for trumpet choir and recorded by the trumpet choir of the University of Kentucky, this new version adds tonal depth and a few new harmonies to the original. 10-parts: 4 trumpets, 2 horns in F, 3 trombones, and tuba. Baritone T.C. parts are provided as an alternative to any of the trombone parts.

Brass Ensemble - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.767188 Composed by Claudio Monteverdi. Arranged by Mike Lyons. Baroque,Renaissance. Score and parts. 32 pages. Lyons Music Services #3073711. Published by Lyons Music Services (A0.767188). Monteverdi's third book of madrigals of 1592 is one of the earliest steps towards the writing of opera as we know it. In this collection of songs, Monteverdi, for the first time, starts to bring small groups of songs (2 or 3) to form a 'Scena - a collection with similar words or on a similar theme or by the same poet and keeping them as a little group within the book of madrigals. The first song La giovinetta pianta speaks of a young plant growing into the sunlight and being attached to its roots. This is a typical Renaissance song with loads of hidden meaning and double entendres. As with all of Monteverdi's vocal music, it translates really well onto instruments. The individual madrigals are available separately. This flexible arrangement is equally playable on woodwind ensembles as on brass.Flexible quintet parts are supplied as follows:Part 1 in Bb,Part 2 in Bb, Part 3 in Bb/Eb/F, Part 4 in Bb/Eb/C(Bass clef) and Part 5 in Bb/Eb/C(Bass clef)Other parts may be requested free of charge.

Woodwind Ensemble Bassoon,Oboe - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.844680 Composed by Jeno Hubay. Arranged by Phil Beaman. Romantic Period,Standards. 17 pages. Phil Beaman #5017171. Published by Phil Beaman (A0.844680). My arrangement abridges and slightly simplifies this classical standard which was originally written for Viola and Piano. I reduced it from 6 1/2 minutes to 2 1/2 minutes by focusing on the recapitulation of the main theme but also included opening and closing cadenzas. I have scored it for a Double Reed Octet; 1 Oboe solo, accompanied by 4 Oboe parts and 3 Bassoon parts. The Soloist has the melody throughout. The other Oboes and Bassoon 1,2 have occasional countermelody, but mostly pulse ensemble rich chords while the Bassoon 3 sits on pedal tones. Overall, it creates a rich, balanced double reed sound which utilizes the full range of the instrument. Fairly easy, but sounds more advanced with its full chords and the dramatic interpretation markings I have added.
