SA choir and piano - Easy - Digital Download SKU: MQ.8883-E Composed by Tom Merrill. Instrument parts. 10 pages. E. C. Schirmer Music Company - Digital #8883-E. Published by E. C. Schirmer Music Company - Digital (MQ.8883-E). English. Song of Solomon 2:10-13.This brief composition was inspired by the nuptial Mass of a former student, who had arranged for her 7th-and 8th-grade girl’s chorus to sing for the ceremony. One of the texts read at the wedding was this passage from the Song of Solomon. The piece received its premiere performance by the same girl’s chorus and their now married director in the spring of 2019. The approach is joyful rather than romantic, the vocal parts approachable but interesting thanks to rhythmic interplay and a variety of textures. The piano part adds to the dance-like mood.

Choral Choir (SATB) - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.887673 Composed by Cat McGill. Folk. Octavo. 5 pages. Cat McGill #3508909. Published by Cat McGill (A0.887673). The Ballad of Flora and James is a re-working of a traditional broadside ballad, the original of which can be found in the archives at the Bodleian Library in Oxford. The original tells the story of Flora, a young girl who dresses as a man in order to follow her boyfriend to sea - but this modern day version has roles reversed, and it's James who joins the war to be with Flora.Cat's clever arrangement brings this story firmly in to the modern era, and affectionately pokes fun at the 'traditional' gender roles often featured in this type of song. It's a hearty song; funny, and fun to sing, and suitable for all ages. There is NO MINIMUM ORDER quantity on this arrangement, because I arrange all my songs to be taught by ear. I've taught this one myself to my community choir and they have really enjoyed singing it - I hope you do too!

Brass Ensemble Euphonium,Horn,Trombone,Trumpet,Tuba - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.986777 Composed by Bob Merrill and Jule Styne. Arranged by Felix Linsmeier. 20th Century,Broadway,Film/TV,Jazz,Musical/Show,Pop. Score and parts. 24 pages. Felix Linsmeier #591751. Published by Felix Linsmeier (A0.986777). Arrangement for Brass Quintet: 3 trumpets, 2 trombones, tuba Don't Rain on My Parade is a popular song from the 1964 musical Funny Girl. It was also featured in the 1968 movie version of the musical. The song was written by Bob Merrill and Jule Styne. Both the movie and stage versions feature Barbra Streisand performing the song. In 2004, it finished No. 46 in AFI's 100 Years...100 Songs survey of top tunes in American cinema. Streisand has sung the song live on many occasions, including during her comeback tour. The instrumental of this song can be heard during the Overture of the stage show, the film and on Streisand's 2006–2007 Tour. There is a reprise version of this song with alternate lyrics which served as the finale for the stage show. This number was cut from the film. Streisand sang this version live for the first time since her run in the original Broadway production as an encore during her 2006–07 Tour. This arrangement for brass sextet adapts the singer's and the orchestra's parts, mostly as a trombone solo feature. The song is packed with classic-broadway-harmony and phrasing, climactic tempo changes and some high notes for the lead trumpet to shine.

'Spirited Away' is a multi award-winning 2001 Japanese animated fantasy film written and directed by Hayao Miyazaki, animated by Studio Ghibli. It tells the story of Chihiro, a ten-year-old girl who, while moving to a new neighbourhood, enters a strange spirit world. After her parents are turned into pigs by a witch, Chihiro takes a job working in her bathhouse to find a way to free herself and her parents and return to the human world. Originally released in Japan in 2001, the film received universal acclaim, becoming the highest-grossing film in Japanese history, a record it held until 2020. 'Spirited Away' is regarded by many as the greatest animated film of all time; it won the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature at the 75th Academy Awards, making it the first, and to date only, hand-drawn and non-English-language animated film to win the award. The film score was composed and conducted by Miyazaki's regular collaborator Joe Hisaishi, and performed by the New Japan Philharmonic.   The 'Sootballs' (Susuwatari) of the title refer to helpful, super strong balls of soot that assist Chihiro whilst working in the bathhouse. Available for concert band (with a featured part for piano) for the first time, bring this characteristic slice of Japanese character music to your next concert of film music for a taste of something different.

Concert Band - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1153691 By Scott Custer Jr. By Scott Custer Jr. Contemporary. Score and parts. 101 pages. Scott Custer Jr #753948. Published by Scott Custer Jr (A0.1153691). My first complete concert band piece. It's been in the works for about 3 months. The early drafts of this piece were written in April/May and were then left to collect dust for months. I wrote it to experiment with melodic/harmonic minor scales and did not intend to finish the piece. Around the same time I wrote the early drafts of the piece, my high school band director asked if I wanted to write a piece for the concert band. I agreed and spent months working on different pieces of music, completing none of them. Around late October I stumbled across this looking through old pieces of music for some new ideas. I listened through it 3 or 4 times and decided to continue the piece. After spending roughly two months finishing the draft, and another month revising and adding parts, I had finally finished Trapped. When I started working on this piece with the intention of finishing it, I was at a difficult point in my life. I had recently come home from my rookie season of drum corps and was still transitioning back to the real world. The freedom of tour had been taken away from me, I had mentally matured a lot during the summer. While only 17 I felt like I was stuck with a bunch of kids. I had spent all summer with friends much older than me, learning a lot from them and taking inspiration from them in many ways. When I started this piece, I was conflicted with many thoughts and emotions. I was still under the impression that my peers in the music program hated me because of some of my actions last year. The girl from home I had been talking with all summer while I was gone, and hoped to start a relationship with, lied to me while I was gone about many things, causing me to remove them from my life. The last year and a half have involved many events like losing my best friend of 5 years because of, what I consider, an overreaction on my part; being used for my kindness; lied to; having secrets about me revealed behind my back by those I trusted; being a therapy friend; constant overthinking; as well as toxic friendships I didn’t want to leave because I gave them the benefit of the doubt. I felt trapped. I had spent so long trying to improve myself to become who I am today, and I still felt like crap. Even though I knew and promised myself I wouldn’t follow through, I was battling suicidal thoughts and I was in a severely depressive episode of my life. I wrote this piece to express the feeling of overthinking, being trapped in your mind, and the road to recovery. The constant back-and-forth battles with yourself, unsure of where to go and what to do next; feeling trapped. I hope that this piece connects and resonates with those of you in a similar position to what I was in, and I promise there is a way out and that life does get better. And with that, I present to you, Trapped.

Small Ensemble Cello,Double Bass,Harpsichord,Viola,Violin - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.742480 By ABBA. By Benny Andersson and Bjorn Ulvaeus. Arranged by Javier Martínez. Contemporary. Score and parts. 40 pages. Arte Nova Music Lab #4736959. Published by Arte Nova Music Lab (A0.742480). Take a Chance on Me is a song by the Swedish pop group ABBA. It was released in January 1978 as the second single from their fifth studio album ABBA: The Album. The song has been featured on a number of ABBA compilations such as Gold: Greatest Hits. The working title of Take a Chance on Me was Billy Boy. Written and recorded in 1977 by Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus, it opens as a cold intro and was sung by Agnetha Fältskog and Anni-Frid Lyngstad, with Fältskog delivering the solo passages. It has a constant uptempo throughout the entire recording. It was one of ABBA's first singles in which their manager Stig Anderson did not lend a hand in writing the lyrics, firmly establishing Andersson and Ulvaeus as a songwriting partnership. The song's origins sprang from Ulvaeus, whose hobby was running. While running, he would sing a tck-a-ch-style rhythm to himself over and over again, which then evolved into take-a-chance and the eventual lyrics.[1] The song's B-side was I'm a Marionette, which, like Thank You for the Music and I Wonder (Departure) (the B-side to their previous single, The Name of the Game), was intended to be part of a mini-musical entitled The Girl With the Golden Hair that Andersson and Ulvaeus had planned, but ultimately shelved.Taken from https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Take_a_Chance_on_Me

String Quartet String Quartet - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.752619 By Foo Fighters. By David Grohl. Arranged by Dury Loveridge. Rock. Score and parts. 14 pages. Dury Loveridge #3623867. Published by Dury Loveridge (A0.752619). The massive 1997 hit by The Foo Fighters, 'Everlong', faithfully arranged for string quartet. Dave Grohl wrote this song as a love song, saying That song's about a girl that I'd fallen in love with and it was basically about being connected to someone so much, that not only do you love them physically and spiritually, but when you sing along with them you harmonize perfectly. It's been featured numerous times in films and tv, and is a firm favourite at weddings thanks to its appearance in episode of 'Friends' where Monica and Chandler marry. This version keeps all of the rhythmic drive of the drum beat with octave snaps in the cello, with some great rhythms for the inner parts too.

With Drama, Comedy and Song they offer a new source of material to any Producer, Director or Teacher in the Performing Arts looking for original stories with great songs, covering a wide range of musical styles. GRACE DARLING was known as the ‘Heroine of the Farne Islands’ off the Northumberland coast where she lived with her family in the Longstone Lighthouse. She became a household name when in 1838 along with ther father William Darling rowed out in a North Sea gale to rescue 9 passengers from the capsized paddle steamer Forfarshire. Honoured by royalty, her fame was short-lived as she died of Tuberculosis in 1842 aged only 27. This musical is based partly on her life which I’ve interwoven with a love story. This album includes the Piano & Vocal Score along with the full Libretto. For full information please see my website:- https://www.tynemusic.com/grace-darlingP.S. Piano Solo - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1023644 Composed by Ben Ledochowski. 20th Century,Contemporary,New Age. Score. 12 pages. Ben Ledochowski #6217585. Published by Ben Ledochowski (A0.1023644). The Dreaming Sea was my first paid composition commission, a piece I wrote in April 2020. For the composition commission, my author friend Sterling Wisniewski requested me to score a short story of his, with the score I provided being expected to tell the story of the words through music and accompany original artwork. His short story is included as follows:A cardboard boat sifts the surface of the sea. A little girl,eyes closed, arms wide and crowned with a paper hat, stands at the front of the deck. Unsinkable - that's what she was. Her imagination bounced the boat on the tension of theworld, almost like it wasn't there. Her eyes were closed, yet she saw everything. On shore, a crowd of dirty sailors went about their work. Nasty mouths swore and harsh fists carried their cargo to their strong, dirty boat. A boy, no taller than a barrel, was in the midst of the buff shoulders and fit forearms. He peaked between the muscle mountains.He saw her. Eyes closed and arms wide, sailing away from the Sun and into the appearing Moon. The wind flapped her hair like the sail of a boat. The boy pried between the men and ran to the end of the dock, stuck his flat hand over his forehead to see. The boy could've sworn that she saw him. He could've sworn the boat swooped in a foot from his face. He could've sworn he heard her giggle. If anything, he thought he knew she saw him.The boy's father, the largest of all the men, wearing a real sailor's hat, gripped the boy's shoulder, spun him away from view of the cardboard boat, and without a word dragged him to the solid wooden ship in front of them. The robust crew pulled ropes and pushed out to set sail towards the setting Sun in the west.The boy soon slipped out of his father's grip and ran to the edge of the boat. Standing on his tiptoes, he hovered his eyes over the dock. There she was - eyes closed and arms wide, the wind flowing through her hair while her cardboard boat skipped the seas like a stone. he could've sworn she was thinking about him. he could've sworn he would see her again. He could've&n.
