Acoustic Guitar,Instrumental Solo - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1171040 Composed by G. F. Handel. Arranged by Socrates Arvanitakis. Baroque. Individual part. 37 pages. Socrates Arvanitakis #771377. Published by Socrates Arvanitakis (A0.1171040). G.F. Handel is one of the greatest Baroque composers who composed much of his instrumental music using free two-part counterpoint. This two-part texture used at times by almost every Baroque composer translates quite well in many cases for the guitar fingerboard, and I have chosen the included 10 pieces out of his suites for solo harpsichord. These pieces are all of moderate difficulty and they are presented in musical notation in decorated pages and in notation + tablature in ordinary white pages for the study and enjoyment of guitarists of many different backgrounds.

String Ensemble,String Quintet Cello,Double Bass,Viola,Violin - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.513367 Composed by Heitor Villa Lobos. Arranged by Renato Esteves. Classical,Latin,Multicultural,World. Score and parts. 29 pages. Renato Esteves #124134. Published by Renato Esteves (A0.513367). Villa-Lobos composed Chôros No. 1 in Rio de Janeiro in 1920, originally publishing it under the title Chôro típico, then Chôro típico brasileiro. The title is taken from an improvisational genre of Brazilian instrumental popular music that originated in Rio de Janeiro in the nineteenth century. The Portuguese word choro (pronounced [ˈʃoɾu]), means cry or lament, though most music of this type is far from being sorrowful. Four years after composing this work, at the time of his first visit to Paris, he decided to make it part of an extended cycle of works collectively titled Chôros, which eventually included fourteen numbered compositions, plus an Introduction aux chôros (Introdução aos chôros): Ouverture, for guitar and orchestra, designed to be played before a complete performance of the cycle, and Chôros bis, a two-movement duo for violin and cello, considered as a sort of encore piece. A Quintet (em forma de chôros), for five woodwind instruments (1928) is sometimes considered as related. In the context of the larger cycle, Chôros No. 1 is like the essence, the embryo, the psychological model that will be developed technically in the conception of all the Chôros.[1] The score of Chôros No. 1 is dedicated to Ernesto Nazareth, and a recording of it made by the composer lasts just under four minutes. Unlike the successor works, there is no attempt here to synthesize different aspects of Brazilian music into a stylistic montage. Instead, it employs the patterns, figurations, and simple structure characteristic of the improvised music of such celebrated chorões of the late-nineteenth and early twentieth centuries as Zequinha de Abreu, Quincas Laranjeiras [pt], Chiquinha Gonzaga, and Catulo da Paixão Cearense [pt].[2] This simplicity and the beauty of its composition have made it a favourite with professional guitarists.[3] Footnotes Villa-Lobos 1972, p. 210. Acoustic Guitar,Instrumental Solo - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1153431 Composed by Traditional/Anonymous. Arranged by Socrates Arvanitakis. Classical,Early Music,Folk,Traditional. Individual part. 41 pages. Socrates Arvanitakis #753692. Published by Socrates Arvanitakis (A0.1153431). This is the thirteenth volume of an extensive collection of folk songs arranged for the classical guitar mostly in two-part counterpoint. The arrangements are of moderate difficulty and the aims of this publication are to familiarise, entertain and educate guitarists (and other musicians) with a melodic repertoire of lasting aesthetic value, under the light of contrapuntal treatment. The thirty five volumes of this collection can certainly be printed on paper if so desired and there are a few pages in each volume, either blank or with photographs of various musicians, which can be inserted at will in any place for the correct ordering of left and right hand pages so that page turns can be avoided. The principle of avoiding page turns has been maintained in all volumes, but this edition is also designed with mobile electronic devices in mind such as tablets etc, using the environment and facilities of a score reading application, towards a paperless world, at least in music. Therefore the size of the staves is bigger than usual for ease of reading on a small screen but not big enough to exceed the limit of a two-page view. Active internal links for navigating from thematic indexes to particular songs and back to indexes have been added, and also external internet links to sites that give further information for the 945 songs of this first collection for classical guitar.Folk Songs For Classical Guitar - Volume 13 (Songs 325-351)Flowers in the Valley [The Red, The Green and the Yellow]Flowers O’ the ForestFoggy Dew (the)Football CrazyFor I am a Maid that’s Deep in LoveForsaken Maiden - A Maiden Sat A-WeepingForty MilesFour in a BoatFour Maries (the)Four Pence a DayFox 1 (THE)Fox 2 (THE)Fox 3 (THE)Fox Hunt (the)Frenet Ha’Friendly Beasts (THE)Frog and the Mouse (THE)Fum, Fum Fum!Gabriel’s MessageGarden Gate (THE)Garden where the Praties Grow (THE)Gathering PeascodsGentlemen of High RenownGently Johnny my Jingalo (different key)GeordieGeorge CollinsGeorgie.

Thomas Swee Chin #988731. Published by Thomas Swee Chin (A0.1412575). Originally a beautiful score, beautiful despite the often used chord progression. The piece is a beautiful and nostalgic homage to the composer's homeland, drawing on traditional Argentine musical elements such as the milonga and the chacarera.
