The Quest by Harry Salotti is for Tuba/Euphonium Quartet.  The 1st Tuba part should be played on an Eb or F Tuba.  As the title suggests, this piece tells the tail of the three main characters (the Princess, Prince and the Evil Witch) The theme of each character is introduced and then the battle to save the Princess commences.  Love concurs with a beautifully melodic ending.  The Quest is a challenging and worthy contribution to the literature. It is suitable for advanced college or professional players.  It is harmonically advanced, yet united by its programmatic elements and musical form.  A truly beautiful coda combines the Prince and Princess themes in a harmonically tonal yet creative ending. review Thomas Bough ITEA Journal.

Piano Man, an all-time favorite, now arranged for 3 pianos (may be 1 piano and 2 keyboards, or 2 pianos and 1 keyboard). Heinz Holliger composed the three-movement work in January 2016 as funeral music for the legendary flutist Aurèle Nicolet who had died shortly before. The pivotal middle movement sons d'or for bass flute and glass harmonica is preceded by a prelude for flute, oboe, glass harmonica, viola, and violoncello. The après-lude is an intimate chorale, written for bass flute, glass harmonica, viola, and violoncello.

The full song from Billy Joel's 1973 album, all parts included! This arrangement is for voice, diatonic harmonica in C, and piano accompaniment plus a piano solo. It is best performed as a duo (voice/harmonica + piano) but you may also play it all by yourself using a harmonica neck holder just like Billy Joel!

All parts should be accessible to early intermediate players except the jazzy intro, which can be omitted, and the piano solo, which can be replaced with the interlude. You can also jump from verse 3 to verse 6 to make it a little shorter (that's how it was presented in the single version).

Composer and conductor Ronnie Hazlehurst, who also produced themes for such series as Are You Being Served?, Yes Minister, and Only Fools and Horses, created the theme for the show. The BBC initially disliked Hazlehurst's theme, feeling it was not proper for a comedy programme to have such mellow music. He was asked to play the music faster for more comedic effect but eventually his original slower version was accepted. A jauntier, upbeat version was played by a brass band in the episode Full Steam Behind. The theme, an instrumental work, featured lyrics three times. The 1981 Christmas special, Whoops, had two verses of lyrics written by Roy Clarke that were performed over the closing credits. The 1983 film, Getting Sam Home, used those two verses, with an additional two and played them over the opening credits. Another altered version was sung during Compo's funeral in the 2000 episode Just a Small Funeral. Bill Owen also wrote a different version of the lyrics but this version was never used during an episode of the show. Composing the score for each episode until his death in 2007, Hazlehurst spent an average of ten hours per episode watching scenes and making notes for music synchronisation. Hazlehurst then recorded the music using an orchestra consisting of a guitar, harmonica, two violins, a viola, cello, accordion, horn, bass, flute, and percussion. The distinctive harmonica was played by Harry Pitch, who had featured in the 1970 one-hit-wonder Groovin With Mr Bloe. The harmonica part is included in this arrangement but it is cued in the Flute 1 part if one is not available.
