'Three Wise Kings' may be performed either in unison or two-part, and is to be accompanied by organ and finger cymbals. The work is appropriate either as a Christmas anthem or an anthem for the Epiphany season. The Latin text, 'Hodie, Christus Natus est' means 'Christ is born today!' and is pronounced 'Ho-dee-eh, KREE-stoos NAH-toos ehst'. The work very uniquely uses the Latin section as a refrain, and then on the last stanza, combines the refrain and verse in a two-part section, concluded by a coda and 'Amen'. The work should be quite simple to perform, and should provide us with an effective anthem for next season.
