Small Ensemble Flute,Soprano Saxophone,Tenor Saxophone,Violin - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.993652 Composed by Dennis Garretson. 20th Century,Baroque,Contemporary. Score and parts. 5 pages. Dennis Garretson #4580777. Published by Dennis Garretson (A0.993652). Description:Doubt & Determination bridges the gaps between musical eras, as one would hear certain nuance that dates back to the Baroque era but possess a rather modern musical structure. The piece challenges both the listeners and the player themselves. For the public ears, one will have to adapt the performer's perspectives to 'feel' the piece. As the title suggests, both 'Doubt' and 'Determination' are two human perceptions that oppose each other, to understand the music is to find common grounds between them, through unexpected cadences and dynamic change. The performer will have to deliver the technicalities of bringing them together, through detail instructions on dynamics and tempo change. The piece is modeled in Sonata Form. however, it is to be approached with indeterminacy, occasionally granting the performer the freedom through Tempo Rubato and Breath Perceptions.Practice Suggestion:This music can only prevail through expression, thus the commitment for dynamic is of the utmost importance. It is highly suggested to understand what makes this piece unique, a score analysis is always a good start. Mark out the accents (Staccato and Emphasis) and the tempo change. Establish breathing points since the piece has very minimal instructions for that, it is hence highly dependent on the performer's capability to deliver.A proper mindset is essential for the perfect performance.Instrumentations:Certain instruments are optional if a soprano saxophone is proven unavailable. The permitted exceptions are Violins (high strings with nuance deliverance) and Woodwinds within the tenor and soprano range.About the ComposerDennis Garretson is young Pianist, Improviser and Composer.Born and raised in Hong Kong, he started as a self-taught composer in high school. and became increasingly influenced by Hollywood &Blockbuster sounds, which paved the way towards discovering his passion towards the realm of orchestral music & film scores. He produced his first soundtrack when he was 17 and secured his first Media Award in the 12th Annual Hong Kong Film Art Association for the best original composition.Currently pursuing a music degree in Nova Scotia Canada, Dennis has the honorable opportunity of studying under multi Juno nominated composer - Peter Togni. His style of writing could be described as - Adaptive Story Telling, allowing listeners to have their very own unique interpretations of what the music could be about while anchoring within reach of the composer's core idea. Dennis strives to be a composer of true versatility, albeit his primary interest remains committed to film scores. He has written in the styles of Schoenberg's 12-tone techniques and has gone as polar as modern movie and trailer music. His music has been commissioned for short films and could be heard on various media platforms. For work inquiry, please contact through social media.

Choral Choir,Choral,TTBB Chorus - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1406776 Composed by Bo Burnham. Arranged by Jacob Klingsten. 21st Century,A Cappella,Comedy,Contemporary,Film/TV. 11 pages. Jacob Klingsten #989524. Published by Jacob Klingsten (A0.1406776). “FaceTime with my Mom (Tonight)†by Bo Burnham is a song from the comedy special Inside. This arrangement is for TTBB a cappella groups, and sits at an easy-intermediate difficulty for high school/collegiate groups. While there isn’t a vocal percussionist part in the score, it is recommended to perform this arrangement with one. This arrangement features the main soloist, who sings quite lyrically and seriously (satirical, of course) about the relatable experience of FaceTiming with their parents. The echoes in the original recording are included in the score for the soloist to sing, if they wish. Additionally, the piece is relatively easy to learn, with a very repetative chord progression. As the arranger, I imagine the background vocalists miming the various lyrics that the soloist sings when they aren't looking, only for them to appear 'normal' when the soloist turns back. This song also works as a great low-key piece for your set if you're looking to add a subtle, satirical aspect of comedy. Additional Details: Key: Db major 11 Pages Length: 2m 20s Ranges: Solo: Bb2-Db4 Tenor 1: Bb3-Gb4 Tenor 2: Gb3-Db4 Baritone: Eb3-Bb3 Bass: Eb2-F3 If you would like the score changed to fit your ensemble's needs, the practice tracks to this piece once purchased, or if you are looking to have a new arrangement commissioned for your ensemble, please let Jacob Klingsten, the arranger, know at jacobkarranging@gmail.com. He will change the score to your needs (within reason) and provide practice tracks at no additional charge to your purchase, and he typically charges around $50 per commissioned arrangement. Jacob would love to work with you and your ensemble!Jacob Klingsten is an undergraduate student pursuing their B.A. in Music Education, and is expected to graduate in May 2025. He hopes to become a middle school and/or high school choir teacher to not only teach the choral art, but also the art of Contemporary A Cappella. He hopes you will enjoy singing his arrangements!

Published by Theoria Music Publishing (A0.894345). Original Rags was an early ragtime medley for piano and was the first of Scott Joplin's rags to appear in print, in early 1899, preceding his Maple Leaf Rag by half a year.Scott Joplin (November 24, 1868 – April 1, 1917) was an American composer and pianist. Joplin achieved fame for his ragtime compositions and was dubbed the King of Ragtime. During his brief career, he wrote 44 original ragtime pieces, one ragtime ballet, and two operas. One of his first and most popular pieces, the Maple Leaf Rag, became ragtime's first and most influential hit, and has been recognized as the archetypal rag.Joplin grew up in a musical family of railway laborers in Texarkana, Arkansas, and developed his own musical knowledge with the help of local teachers. While in Texarkana, Texas, he formed a vocal quartet and taught mandolin and guitar. During the late 1880s he left his job as a railroad laborer and travelled the American South as an itinerant musician. He went to Chicago for the World's Fair of 1893, which played a major part in making ragtime a national craze by 1897.Publisher: Theoria Music PublishingWebsite: https://sheetmusicmarket.com

Zellev Music #767081. Published by Zellev Music (A0.1166699). Adolf Gutmann was born in Heidelberg. He came to Paris in 1834,[4] at the age of 15, to study with Chopin, becoming one of the composer's favourites.[5] He performed in concert with Chopin, Liszt, Charles-Valentin Alkan and Pierre-Joseph Zimmerman, Alkan's transcription of part of Beethoven's Seventh Symphony at a concert of 1838.[6] Gutmann was also the dedicatee of Chopin's Scherzo, Op. 39, published in 1839.[7]Gutmann acted as copyist for a number of Chopin's works, and acted as a courier to take Chopin's letters to his family in Warsaw. Gutmann's own set of Etudes (his Op. 12) is dedicated to Chopin.[6] He was present at Chopin's death bed and preserved the glass from which Chopin took his last drink of water. Both he and Alkan were bequeathed the notes that Chopin had compiled in preparation for a piano teaching method. Gutmann died in La Spezia.[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adolphe_Gutmann]Key Signature: F♯ MinorTime Signature: Cut TimeTempo: (original: Allegro), Presto at 192 bpm (faster for added mysteriousness)Difficulty: Advanced.

Voice and piano (2 songs with violoncello; 1 vocal duet) - Medium - Digital Download SKU: MQ.8491-25E Composed by MeeAe Cecilia Nam and Theodore Gouvy. 5 pages. E. C. Schirmer Music Company - Digital #8491-25E. Published by E. C. Schirmer Music Company - Digital (MQ.8491-25E). French.A French composer, Théodore Gouvy (1819-1898) was one of the most significant composers of 19th Century in Europe. The movement of rediscovering his instrumental music has been increasingly successful in Europe since the 1990s, especially following the birth of L’Institut Gouvy in France. However, his solo vocal music has been waiting to be unveiled to the public. Volume One includes 52 songs of Gouvy.Gouvy traveled widely throughout Europe. He was also a lover of nature. Generally, he spent his winters in Leipzig, but in the summertime, he always returned to Hombourg-Haut, France, to stroll through the woods, to hunt, and to relax. Gouvy was fluent in several languages and had a great appreciation of the Renaissance French Poetry of Pierre de Ronsard whose poetry he had set to music. The fifty-two songs in this volume are largely by Ronsard and other Renaissance poets of La Pléiade.Although Ronsard is approximately 300 years older than Gouvy, they both seem to have the same interest in classical literature, though, admittedly, for different reasons. Celebrated by the French and English courts, Ronsard (1525-1585) was the leader of La Pléiade: a group of seven poets (Joachim Du Bellay (1522-1560), Rémy Belleau (1528-1577), Étienne Jodelle (1532-1573), Pontus de Tyard (1521-1603), Jean–Antoine Baïf (1532-1589), and Jean Daurat (1508-1588), who dedicated their efforts to writing poetry in French rather than in Latin (or Greek) as most of the Romantic poets did. They wished to enrich the French language, and establish a new literature which would be the equal of the other literature of their period, and the equal to poets of the past. French Romantic poetry featured the closeness of the poet to nature, and his ability to communicate with nature by personifying (anthropomorphizing) all of nature’s elements: flowers, the planets, the moon, the breeze, and even the sand upon the shore. As a significant melodist, Gouvy’s treatment of the vocal solo line and his treatment and development of the piano accompaniment places him in the upper echelons as a composer of songs. His diverse cultural life led a rich and significant musical life, interacting with his contemporaries who admired his work, and whom Gouvy knew well, such as Liszt, Brahms, Schumann, Mendelssohn, Berlioz and Gounod.

Kevin G. Pace #977960. Published by Kevin G. Pace (A0.1394475). A powerful choral composition.  Music by Kevin G. Pace.  Text by Mary Ann W. Snowball.  Inspired by the words in Matthew: . . . forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. (Matthew 6:12).Text:When you feel resentment, jealousy, or strife,Take the time to ponder motives in your life. You will be astonished as you pray to God . . .How He helps to cleanse ideas you once thought. When injustice enters quickly in your soul,When hostility and hatred take ahold,Know that God can change your views from dark to light. As your heart is softened, He will give new sight. When it’s difficult to reconcile a hurt,And it’s hard to love when others have been curt,See the Savior as your guide. . . He lends His grace. As you pardon others, you can see His face.Chorus:Oh, forgive and you will be forgiv’n.You can gain a cherished place in heav’n.As an heir of Father, you will have a part . . .He will give to you a purified, new heart.

Piano,Tenor Saxophone - Level 1 - Digital Download SKU: A0.548667 Composed by James Pierpont. Arranged by James M. Guthrie, ASCAP. Christmas. Score and part. 8 pages. Jmsgu3 #3409337. Published by jmsgu3 (A0.548667). Jingle Bells arranged for tenor sax & piano. Score: 4 pg. piano part: 3 pg. sax part: 1 pg. Jingle Bells is perhaps the most famous songs in American music history. James L. Pierpont published the song as One Horse Open Sleigh in the late 1850’s. Since its introduction, people began to insist that Pierpont wrote it for a Sunday school choir. However, it seems unlikely that such a secular song would be considered appropriate during that historical period for Sunday school.Christmas Repertoire Pierpont wrote the song for the Thanksgiving holidays, but over time people began to think of it more as a Christmas song. Some choirs adopted it as part of their Christmas repertoire in the 1860s and 1870s. Jingle Bells was first recorded in 1889 on a wax cylinder. Origins No one knows where Pierpont composed the song. One theory suggests he wrote it in Medford Massachusetts in 1850. Sleigh races were certainly popular in 19th Century Massachusetts. To this day, a commemorative placard appears in Medford square claiming that it is the birthplace of Jingle Bells. Others suggest that he wrote it in Savannah, Georgia where he was an organist and music director at the Unitarian Church. This theory gains support from the copyright date of 1857. We know he was living in Savannah by then. Traffic Signals Horse-drawn sleighs are relatively quiet in the snow. Consequently, horses were usually equipped with bell-laden straps so as to avoid accidents at blind intersections. Sleigh drivers in 19th Century New England were constantly vigilant, listening for the sounds of approaching horse-drawn sleighs. The tune imitates the rhythm that the trotting horse bells produce. Social Context Jingle Bells was sung as a drinking song at local revelries: during the song folks would rhythmically jangle the ice in their glasses. A sleigh ride gave couples an opportunity to be alone together. The term Jingle bells is a poetic descriptive adjective referring specifically to the more accurate term sleigh bells. In many arrangements, sleigh bells are used to accentuate the rhythm during the song chorus.  Register for free lifetime updates and revisions at www.jamesguthrie.com

Kevin G. Pace #806402. Published by Kevin G. Pace (A0.1208296). A stunningly beautiful, sacred composition for SATB choir.  Music by Kevin G. Pace and text by Mary Ann W. Snowball.  Depicting the miracle of Jesus curing the man by the Pool of Bethesda.Text:By Bethesda’s special pool, each day they did wait.Blind and halt and withered there, each to not be late.By the pool the crippled lay; healing was the goal.Ere an angel’s touch was stirred, not one would be whole.Years and years a man stayed near, but with none to aid. Then the Savior came, unknown, to surround and stay.Wilt thou be made whole? was asked by the Healer there.I can’t reach the pool myself. These pains I must bear.Wilt thou be made whole? I can ease thy load. Can I heal thy sun-parched soul? May I make thee whole?Rise, and take thy bed and walk. These words Jesus spoke.Soon the man was cleansed and healed, as if he awoke.Had full faith been shown that day from this aged man?Can we also trust our Lord? Will we take his hand?By our own Bethesda pools in a sacred space,He can clearly mend our cares through (by) his wondrous grace. We can also rise like him o’er our doubts and fearsAs we linger, patiently, listening to hear.We can be made whole when his hand we hold.He can heal our holy souls; He will make us whole.

Guitar - Digital Download SKU: A0.1070387 Composed by Apostolos Paraskevas. 20th Century,Romantic Period,World. Full Performance. Duration 203. Silver Sickle Publications #6102999. Published by Silver Sickle Publications (A0.1070387). Mountains of Stowe, 2015 is a two-movement piece commissioned by and dedicated to guitarist Adam Holzman. The first movement I Stand Strong reflects the serenity and isolation someone might feel when surrounded by the mountains of Stowe, Vermont in the U.S.A. The second movement â€¦and the Sky is the Limit written in an ABA cyclic form is full of rhythmic gestures starting with the combination of 7/8, 2/4, 5/8 and 3/4 in the first four measures that leads to a slow movement as an attempt to sing a Greek song in those vast territories and to portray the thankfulness of being there and experience the presence of the amazing beauty of it.  When asked why he commissioned this piece, Holzman replied, My wife and I spend our summers in Stowe. We love being there, celebrate the summer and spend time outside. We have family and friends who come and share a few days with us and Apostolos is a dear friend who has been coming for several years. We talked about the possibility of him writing a piece that reflected Stowe and the mountains. When asked about the piece, Paraskevas responded, I always write music for the person behind the instrument, so while composing every note of this piece I had Adam in my mind; the way he plays, the way he breathes the way he lives his life. The work is written for the mountains of Stowe through Adam’s eyes and heart and I am the vehicle who translates it.
